ICC9500
We have a retail shop - 4 audio zones. In our Primary room we have 4 JBL Pro Pendents. It's been working fine. Lately and NOT consistently, the audio will go from 70 to 0 in a slow fade, like someone is turning an Audio Volume dial. When it's turned back up to 80+, you can faintly hear the audio, yet distorted. We then try an audio all off - system all off - system all on and most of the times it doesn't come back. Low and behold 5 hours later, it will kick on and work fine. All other zones no issues. I'm not sure how C4 Amps act if they are in protection mode? Anyone have this experience? lippavisual
Shocked that that particular amp is still running. Most likely it’s starting the decline downward to becoming a heavy doorstop, which most already have. Its a dumb amp, so not much you can do about it. What is feeding the audio into the amp? ICC9500
Audio sources - streaming Pandora or we have 8 direct TV boxes that we will normally run audio from one if we are watching games. We have Audio to our lobby, main lounge, private lounge, meeting room. The main lounge is the only zone that's acting up. Is it possible to move the main room to another zone, even if it means losing a zone?
lippavisual
You certainly could but again, sounds like the amp is on its way out. I’d at least let the customer know about options to replace the amp.
