drmark12pa
I just purchased a Amazon FireTV for a bathroom and wondering what driver is used for this. There appear to be 2 drivers: 1) Fire TV (ADB, OS2) - mediaplay_ip_amazon_fire.c4z 2) Fire TV - FireTV.cz4 Which would be the appropriate driver for the newer 43" Amazon Fire TV? Does this driver function like a TV source?
0 msgreenf
Yes. You should have bindings
0 TFlury
If you used the 2nd driver it has a primary and 2 sub drivers. The primary is what you use to select what fire tv to control and make your AV bindings. The 1st sub driver is what you want to have the name of that fire tv be in the watch list. The 2nd sub driver is used to connect universal app drivers.
0 Matt Lowe
also a good reminder to check your driver documentation tab. Alot of complex drivers like these have pretty good detailed notes so you know what you need to do.
0 drmark12pa
I actually sent the TV back as it was turning on by itself randomly and I had checked every single setting on the TV from top to bottom (no ON timer, HDMI CEC off, not connected to anything else, etc). I disconnected WiFi and ethernet thinking maybe something was pinging the TV to wake up and it still would power on randomly..... so I sent it back hence why I had started another thread about a cheapy 43" TV from Sams
