zg825
I’m not sure my exact set up , but whenever I restart my Fire Stick, the sr260 takes a long time (4-5 min) before I can use it again. I will see a screen that says fire tv does not have a remote control connected. After a few minutes, the warning goes away and I can use the remote control. is this typical or is there something I can do to stop this? Cyknight
To be clear - that isn't the remote, it's the fire TV and the main system taking time to reconnect. This is largely due to the driver (could be a limit if the API) and how often it checks the connection. Note that it will be that much worse if you're using the older driver - the newer driver is much faster overall, including boot up time (that said you'll know if you have the old one if control overall feels sluggish)
Matt Lowe
can also look into do the the IRUSB from @videostorm. It worked really well for me on my FireTV before I got the 2017 Shield TV.
