dinom
Anyone cut the cable and switch to YouTube TV with Control4 and Roku? How is the integration with Control4? Can you at least use a mini app to launch YouTube TV directly?
chopedogg88
Yes works perfectly, been using it like that in my house and many client systems for a couple years now.
dinom
Thanks Ari! I’m going to try out the free trial soon.
Cyknight
Roku especially works well for this, even if there are no direct mini drivers, any and all channels get loaded into the 'channel selector' driver, so you can 'shortcut' through there for local TV provider apps
dinom
Can you explain more about the channel selector driver? I’m not following, sorry.

The Roku driver has a “sub-driver” called Roku channels & selecting that on a GUI will bring up a list of all the apps on that Roku, and selecting one will launch the app. dinom
Time2Jet
Or with Roku (and others) just add the mini drivers for each service. I’d say that YouTubeTV works very well with the Neeo remotes as it seems the Neeos were more inclined to mimic the steaming service controls. TiVo, for instance is a pain on the Neeo. You have to use the touchscreen to forward recorded programming or rewind programming etc.
Neo1738
Similar, DTV Stream and love it. Works amazing with roku, has mini app can favorite to the Neeo remote as well.
dinom
I don’t think I have the Roku channel selector driver loaded. Looking through composer, home edition I don’t see it. What should I look for?
chopedogg88
Its a sub-driver of the Roku Player driver, it is all one driver, not a separate driver. Its called Roku Apps or Roku Channels depending on when the driver was added.
dinom
Thanks, I’ll take a look again. Is there someplace where I could’ve hidden this from being visible?
chopedogg88
yes in the room navigator Watch list visibility you could have hidden it. but it will always be visible in the project tree.
dinom
I see something called Roku App Switcher, is that it? If so, I tried trying to make it visible, but it goes back to becoming hidden after I refresh navigators.
