Is there a wireless option for headphones for C4 music playback

Is there any easy option to be able to listen to C4 music playback on Airpods that is part of the C4 whole home audio playback?  Or will this never work due to sync issues?

I sometimes am listening to music in various parts of my house, and want to continue listening, but on my headphones, when I move to the kitchen but my daughter is there watching TV so I can't use the room's audio endpoint.

Headphone integration would indeed be a separate room (that you can start by itself or join like any other) attached to something like a matrix or even controller output.

The tricky part with what you're describing is moving across the house - you'd need quite the bluetooth transmitter and place it well to cover a house - depending on size of course. Not impossible, but not really simple either.

Yes, I thought it would be tricky.  I guess the best case would be if your phone was an audio endpoint connected via Wifi and then Airpods connect to the phone via BT.  Then you should be able to roam the house without issue.  I have six Unifi APs so I should be good!

at this point doesnt seem like c4 is needed? I have music follow me around the house, at some point all zones will switch to my source except the rooms with "watch device selected"

If you *wanted* to make it complicated, you could get an audio encoder/streamer and connect it to matrix output as it's own room and join it to the room/source you wanted to listen to.  Assuming you carry your phone with you (or close to you), you'd just use a phone app to join the stream and connect headphones to your phone.   That way you'd be using WiFi (to your phone) and you'd be able to roam around whole house/property and still listen. Could be done for ~$10 for a USB audio-in gizmo (and some free stream broadcast software) if you already have a computer near your matrix.  Also, since it would be a multicast stream, several people could listen simultaneously.

If you were just doing Spotify then why are you trying to make it more complex than it needs to be?

Just so that it continues to play in other zones so I can easily switch from headphones back to whole home audio on C4/Spotify Connect.
