Need help programming Amps Zone 2 with video matrix

Rack has a 8x8 video matrix that drives a home theater through a marantz amp and 7 other tvs throughout the house.  Also in the rack client has a C4 Audio Matrix Switch (AMS) driving a C4 8 zone amp that drives the laundry room where the rack is located and 7 other rooms of ceiling speakers.   In the rack I am using the amp's HDMI monitor2 out to drive a rack monitor so you can see what is playing in the theater while you swap bluerays etc at the rack. As such this is always displaying the same content as the theater room but it has its own remote so you can select the right sources on the matrix while at the rack and also turn off the monitor when not in use.  I would like to feed audio zone 2 from the amp back into the AMS to then drive the in ceiling speaker above the rack.  Is this possible?

Attached are the laundry room end points but currently there is no video sound.  Normal listening sources (tunein etc) work fine in the laundry room so I know the physicals connections are right.  It just seems that composer doesn't know to switch to the zone 2 audio when the laundry room is in watch mode.  Any ideas?

The issue may be that you have 2 devices capable of controlling volume and Control4 may not know how to route the audio signal.. Either in the AVR or through programming set Zone 2 to always come on at a specific volume. Also use an AV path driver between the AVR Zone 2 and AMS connections. Set it to the laundry room and set the audio paths to only allowed for endpoint room. If you have an audio path from your controller into the AVR you will need to put a second AV path driver in. Put that driver between controller audio connection and the AVR. Select the laundry room and set audio path drop downs to not allowed for selected room or something along those lines.
