Double D
Has anyone successfully programmed and announcement (doorbell chime WAV file) on a wireless Bluesound speaker? Seems possible in the driver, it has a PLAY ANNOUNCEMENT action in Prigramming, but documentation is vague.

Then try to treat it same way if you have a Sonos, send announcement this way, I tried the same with VSSL and they lack the feature all together
Cyknight
Yes you can play announcement direct on bluesound speakers, however that trigger is to do it internally on the speaker(s) - in other words, it's not a C4 announcement. You have to have stored media to play said announcement, and that means you need to have a usb stick with files, a network location etc with the file to play. Protip: you CAN point the Bluesound to the main C4 controllers media folder and play the C4 stored announcement audio files that way (do note that this in no way syncs C4 announcements with bluesound announcements
Double D
Awesome, thanks guys! How do I find the address to the C4 controllers media folder?
SpencerT
I think you just SMB to your controller and they are in: /mnt/mediashare/announcements

Cyknight
Side note: please do not just randomly attempt to add files there, you are liable to fill up the system's memory, just use it to point to announcements add to the system the 'proper' way via Composer

Cyknight
The announcement Agent (assuming it's in your system) has an upload feature for files. SpencerT
