tims
Hi guys, I have C4 all over my home and have an extensive alarm system in it. Just for GP I would not mind integrating the alarm system into C4 as well but from what I see with the drivers even the Vista 20P driver is now obsolete. Anyone have any suggestions about what would be the easiest panel upgrade. I would not mind having integration into C4 just to complete the house. Any suggestions on what I should upgrade to and what would be the easiest. I don't really know anything about alarm but I think I can figure it out. Thoughts? Thanks
therockhr
I use the vista 20p with the 4232CBM and it has all the integration you could ask for. I dont think the driver is obsolete. Dueport
tims
Weird, shows obsolete in my search. It shows but grayed out
chopedogg88
That is correct, you can use Honeywell with Control4 still just fine. Search for 4232CBM in the driver database. However the integration is a little bit painful compared to some of the newer systems - I've been using Clare One and it is so much simpler to integrate (over wifi), no physical serial connection needed, no extensive configurations on the security panel, when adding/removing zones they sync up instantly, etc. And everything is easily managed/administered through a web portal or app interface. msgreenf
therockhr
I have no idea if the Control4 ELK driver works for the new E-27 https://www.elkproducts.com/e27-alarm-engine/ but it looks pretty nice.
Ryanjackson
I dont' think the drive has been written yet. I think they just realeased the API to the e27 a couple weeks ago. therockhr
dreres
Just curious, does anyone have the elk e27? I have the elk m1 and completely happy with it, just wondering how the e27 is.
