brucecampbell
My 'My Movies' is no longer visible under my Watch list. I've not used it in a while, so no idea when this issue occurred. My movie storage is on a Synology Disk Station DS109j The disk station has a static IP and is visible on my home network. ie: I can see it connected in the client list on my router and I can ping the IP from my home PC. However, I can no longer connect to the DS109j from my home PC. And Composer can no longer connect to the DS109j I'm now needing help figuring out why and how to resolve. I'm currently playing with network and firewall settings to see if any options help, but nothing so far. Help please.
Cyknight
First thought is SMB settings, SMB1, 2 and 3. Can you connect to the drive's interface from a computer at least? brucecampbell

Popolou
Was the array on an old firmware and recently updated? Only be aware that SMB v1 has been long deprecated and removed from file systems for security reasons so anything post Windows 7 (say) will not work without modification. Of course, it is not a big deal for internal networks but you will increasingly encounter these problems going forward unless you configure the SMB shares on the Synology to use a higher version number. The NAS is a Disk Sation DS109J - which is old - perhaps 13+ years? It is on an internal network, it only holds ripped DVD's. I'm not sure the DS can be upgraded any further.
