hankbank
Does anyone know if an HTC1 can be used with an attached USB portable hard drive to store media? I was wondering if I could use it in a theater controlling a Sony DVP-CX777ES and have the media information stored on a USB storage device? Thanks
henniae
You could store MP3s on the hard drive but not videos. It will not store the media info on the hard drive, it will use internal memory. You would be much better off getting an HC-300 for your system.
hankbank
Thanks. I have a spare one laying around and thought it would be a cheap way to make it work. Not looking to store video, just the dvd artwork and metadata info. Does this work?

Not looking to store video, just the dvd artwork and metadata info. Does this work?It stores that on its own internal memory...as Henniae already stated. Not looking to store video, just the dvd artwork and metadata info. Does this work?Is the HTC1 going to be standalone or added to an existing C4 project? If it is standalone as I said it will store the media info on internal memory. If it is added to another project (i.e. the HTC1 is a slave controller), the media info will be stored on the controller that is the Director for that project.
