rchawla80
To add to this, I tried cancelling the update and recycled the HTC and now it gives an error to download packets at all times. How would I fix this? Any chance I can do it without a USB stick? Also - can any dealer offer to trouble shoot this please? Thanks

rchawla80
What if I don't have a USB stick? ... any other ideas? It still seems to link to the network...just running the old firmware...
henniae
What if I don't have a USB stick?Meaning that you don't own a 2 Gig USB stick or that you don't have access to the USB recovery software? If it is the former I would recommend you purchase one. If it is the latter you might consider calling your dealer.
ILoveC4
can any dealer offer to trouble shoot this please? You're probably not going to get a ton of help on that here as you're going against the grain a bit.I'm not going to say I disagree with what you're doing or anything, but there are inherint risks in doing these things yourself. The biggest is problem is the lack of a support network (and the lack of sufficient training) due to the fact that this is a dealer installed system. The fact that you're circumventing the dealer is probably the very reason why many dealers will be shy to offer assistance.
ILoveC4
That, and as pointed out earlier, you don't have the tools necessary to fix a problem....
rchawla80
I just need a USB stick or someone to help me walk through it... come on dealers, be kind! Please and thank you!
ILoveC4
The USB stick creator is the program you need, and there isn't a dealer here that will give it to you. They will walk you through it, that's what they do everyday. Unfortunately I think you'll have to reach for your wallet on this one...
