Doing an update to 1.7.4

Hi All - your help is appreciated, thank you!

Here is the message I am getting in the update log repeatdly. This is a legacy HTC not primary but runs of a wireless bridge. How do I fix this? Do I cancel Pending update and retry?

To add to this, I tried cancelling the update and recycled the HTC and now it gives an error to download packets at all times. How would I fix this? Any chance I can do it without a USB stick?

Also - can any dealer offer to trouble shoot this please?

I would try a USB restore.

What if I don't have a USB stick?

Meaning that you don't own a 2 Gig USB stick or that you don't have access to the USB recovery software? If it is the former I would recommend you purchase one. If it is the latter you might consider calling your dealer.

You're probably not going to get a ton of help on that here as you're going against the grain a bit.

I'm not going to say I disagree with what you're doing or anything, but there are inherint risks in doing these things yourself. The biggest is problem is the lack of a support network (and the lack of sufficient training) due to the fact that this is a dealer installed system. The fact that you're circumventing the dealer is probably the very reason why many dealers will be shy to offer assistance.

The USB stick creator is the program you need, and there isn't a dealer here that will give it to you.

They will walk you through it, that's what they do everyday. Unfortunately I think you'll have to reach for your wallet on this one...
