I’d like to put a KPD on a switched outlet.  Is there a way to disable the dimmer function so the top button works only as a switch?  Would you do something programmatically like if level<>0 set level to 100?

I’m not sure yet what will be plugged into the outlet.  If it’s a lamp I’m probably fine but want to make sure if anything else it always gets full power.

Bad idea. Not sure about US, but our outlets are 2400w and the dimmer don't go up that high and most dimmers tend to leak current.

If you're going to do it, use a contractor at least. But I'd just get a switch puck and stick it in the wall

They also tend to be very limited in the type of current

Yeah, it can be done, but do it properly instead. I'm not sure what happens if you exceed the wattage by a considerable amount, but I'm guessing it's not good

There are plenty of cheap wifi relays that can integrate with the configurable keypad.

Rewire outlet to hot. Use plug in switched outlet module of choice.

Its not just current limited but the way triacs work.

That was my other idea - wire to hot and use a wireless keypad instead of KPD

Do not use any dimmer (Control4 or otherwise) to control a non-dimmable load.

It's a bad idea.  It's not safe, and it can limit the life of the controlled gear.
