I assume you mean you want a popup or a message of some kind. LG TVs using the Annex4 IP driver support "toast" popups. I don't think any other brands do.

Yes you are right I want to popup a message..

My tv is Samsung qn90d 98, and i have jvc projector n9..

You mean this kind of popup , it up of the screen driver..

As I understand it we're looking for a "sleep timer" type function. Press a button, and two hours later the room will shut off. Perhaps with some slow ramping down volume not sure about that part.

Of course, it will work just fine - I had something similar a while ago. But there's not really a way to pop up a message saying "Sleep timer activated, 2 hours to go".... "1 hour to go".... "30 minutes to go" etc, if that is what you're hoping for.

If you just want some feedback that you have activated it successfully you could perhaps flash a light, or send something simple to the TV like a mute-unmute-mute-unmute or something like that.

That's exactly what I did ( turning down volume for  7),  and it work super good., and even i did  a cancellation mod for sleeping mod..and it's great.

So now i understand that i can't popup a message on the tv..

Thank you for your helping

If you have an EA1 connected to the display[s], technically I suppose it would be possible to program a switch to that input and then an "Announcement" on the on-screen navigator. But it could be potentially disruptive if you were in the middle of streaming or playback.

I have never dabbled much with the Announcements agent apart from audio for doorbells. Only way to find out is to try!

That's what the good night agent is. It sets a sleep timer and can turn off lights in media at the end

Yes its good and useful for  people that start a time watching on fixed time.

But not useful  if  you  watching  at a random time watching..

Have you looked at the goodnight agent? It does exactly what you want and has a UX in the app to set a timer as long as you want and set timer length. It sounds exactly like what you want. It's not preset for a certain hour. Sorry but it sounds like you haven't looked at this capability at all

When you refer to "toast" popups, that would be if there are Control 4 programed push notifications these would be displayed on a LG TV?  Has Annex resolved the issue that the updated driver for the current LG TV's is available for download?
