'Ghost' Audio Zone

Question

Posted

Background information:

Former system: HC-800, C4 matrix (C4-16ZAMSV3-B) and C4 8 zone amp.

Replacement equipment: Core 3, Triad AMS 16 and Triad PAMP 8

The HC-800 programing was migrated over to the Core 3 by my new dealer this past spring.

Recently I added the Triad AMS 16 & PAMP 8.

Former dealer in 2015 had a music button on a Kitchen KD-120 which was programed to stream Sirus XM to the Kitchen, Keeping Room and Dining Room [Each is a separate zone from the former C4 amp and now Triad PAMP]

However, I had a KD-120 recently added to the Dinning room so I can trigger the music when I'm using that room.  This programing works whereas I press the Music button in the Dining Room, the pre-set Sirus XM channel properly streams.

The Kichen has a room control driver installed within the project labeled Music (as per @Matt Lowe HE video series recommendation) and the bindings are to Kitchen and Keeping room (see below screen snip Kitchen Room Control Driver bindings).  However, when I press the Kitchen KD-120 music button, Sirus XM streams also streams into the Dining room.

I'm thinking that there has to be a 'bug' someone in the Core 3 from the previous HC-800 migration  (I did not use the previous C4-16ZAMSV3-B/C4 8 Zone amp with the Core 3 for distributed video until I replaced with the Triad equipment), as the Triad AMS16 was programed with all new binding connections. i.e. I did not migrate/transfer  the programing from the C4 matrix to the Triad AMS 16. (I previously asked @msgreenf if matrix programing could be transferred, but I opted to start with a clean slate, as I wasn't happy with my former dealers programing).

Where else should I be looking within Composer Pro for the former binding/connection for the Kitchen to Dinner room audio programing, so I can remove this 'ghost' connection?

Should I use the debug/Lua option to trouble shoot this?

As allows, thank you for your advice.

If you have composer pro questions call tech support or use the dealer forums. If youre not a dealer dont ask questions about pro.

Hi salty @Control4Savant, I located the previous programing and fixed.  Thank you for such a positive response 😊

@Matt Lowe It was the former programing, which did not use the room driver, as said driver was released after my project was installed.  It was one of KD120 connected buttons, as I located within the property summary tab, and then deleted this programming for the single tap and double tab.  The single tab had programing ->Kitchen, ->Keeping Room, -> Dinning Room.
