onfo Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Hello there, it has been awhile since I've posted, but this is such a great group of people I thought I would try again with a new problem. My last post was for help configuring a setting, and I granted someone here remote access to configure my system. Fast forward, and last night, at 3:15 am the speakers in our bedroom made an EXTREMELY loud noise that sounded like a machine gun / banging. I immediately cut power to the system, and it stopped. I turned it on, briefly, and the sound started again. Any ideas what could have caused it? Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful. The C4 controller is a HC800. I'm having a local dealer come out and take a look but thought I'd also post here as this group is so knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks in advance! Quote

Pulled the matrix and opened to see blown caps. Can buy replacement on eBay. I just replaced caps, but that takes some knowledge and solder skills. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

I was able to confirm this morning that the feedback noise is coming from all speakers hooked to the AM. When I turn down the level knob it diminishes but doesn't cease. Quote

Same issue. Banging on all speakers. Replaced the audio matrix. Likely was power supply (c4 audio matrixes have this issue) but decided to replace whole thing (w triad). Quote
