pjr Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Hi Guys, Our Sony Bravia LCD TV has developed a fault, so looking to swap for a new Sony Bravia. Control 4 simply switches it ON/OFF with a IR bud and trying to establish if any additional programming will be required, or can we simple swap the TV & bud over? I suspect the ON/OFF maybe the same IR code on all Bravia TV's (but Sony seem to refuse to divulge IR codes ;-/)......so any advice here on this is really appreciated? Looking on Composer HE – it just Says “Sony Bravia” so again assuming a generic C4 code. Cheers Paul Quote
c4toys Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Yes straight swap. Sony has used the same ir codes for 20yrs or more pjr 1 Quote
Cyknight Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 If it's single input and just power (and if needed volume) it should be a non issue to just swap it out if using IR control. The only time it gets iffy is if there's input changes (or if you happen to have an old Plasma and go to LCD, as they had separate codes for their plasmas) Quote
