Jabou Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Hi, I had a controller (HC800) partially kick the bucket (the IR outputs have stopped working) and luckily I had a spare one laying around. I installed the new controller and loaded the project from a recent backup. Everything works as expected except the remote (HC250) will not control the Xfinity Rogers cable box. The remote controls the Apple TV and the television with no problem - but for some reason, it will not talk to the cable box. The cable box is set for IP control and it is identified correctly with a static IP address. I've tried removing the driver and reinstalling to no avail. Here's the super weird thing - if I reinstall the 'broken' controller, the remote control controls the cable box with no issues. Any one have any ideas? Quote
Cyknight Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 You'll need to get the boxes newly paired to the replacement controller (the main controller gets paired with the boxes based on MAC, or some form of serial ID). IF you have HE, the 'pair device' button may be visible under actions (not sure that tab shows up) Quote
Andrew luecke Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 If it's a 3rd party driver with licencing, you might need to change the project MAC address. If it's Chowmain, I'd recommend updating to OS3 and migrating the licencing to our new marketplace. Andy Quote
