Ever since my touchscreens have been installed I have set the screensaver to “blank” as I heard about potential screen burn.

With one of my TS3’s getting to the end of its life I wanted to try out the screensaver with the time, date and temperature. This works but I would still like the screen to go off at night. Looking at the settings with the TS, there is an option to do this but it’s “greyed” out. Am I missing something or do I need to set this all up in Composer?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting, i too would like to know and did wonder the same. I do remember having set each of the screens to display the time/date and dim and blank after a timeout but to then sleep between midnight and 6am. This later disappeared - i think because they were then configured via composer. I hadn't gotten around to investigating why.

On all my touch screens I just have a scheduler event that changes the settings. So in the morning it sets it to display time, temperature and current media. At night it sets it to blank. Works great.

Why bother, in composerHE you can go to the UI config agent, set the screensaver as you like and set nightmode from there (including time frame) - a better option as it acutually turns the sreen off, no blue light at all. And yes touching it will wake it up.

Probably because I set this up many many years ago, before that existed?

Didn’t even know this existed. Works great, thank you.
