chopedogg88 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I have a client with several Leviton Z-wave Plus wall dimmer switches. We integrated them to Control4 but it appears that Control4 is randomly shutting off the lights, which is very strange. I even bought one of these for my house to test it out and the same thing is happening. Anyone else run into this? I'm wondering if in the meantime while I get this into Control4's bug queue (hopefully), we should try using a Mi Casa Verde hub as a go-between. Anyone know if those Vera hubs still work okay with Control4 (OS 3.4.3, Core 3 controller)? Quote
witt312 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 My Vera-Plus hub that you helped integrate is still kicking strong with the same Control4 controller and version. I'm not sure how easy they are to find anymore though. Quote
ChzBurger Posted January 9 Posted January 9 If you want something modern use a Hubitat hub + Chowmain driver. Quote
chopedogg88 Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Thank you for the suggestions. Anyone have any idea what might cause Control4 to shut off these zwave lights on its own? Doesn't happen with other zwave devices (GE receptacles) that I have in my system and I believe it's the same Z-Wave Common light driver. Quote

Ari - I have a Vera Lite hub to operate one Z-Wave shade. It continues to work with the latest Control4 OS. I think they can be bought used of eBay. Quote
chopedogg88 Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Thanks - yeah I looked on ebay and they are inexpensive. Thought I had one laying around but can't find it in my electronics pile! BY96 1 Quote

When they include Z-wave shades in the Core controllers, I hope to get rid of the Vera Lite hub, as it is only serving the one purpose. Quote
eon Posted January 11 Posted January 11 The problem with the zwave dimmers on core controllers is that when you turn off dimmer via software (app, programing, scene, etc) when you try to turn on the light via switch it turns it off immediately, when you turn it off via switch then you can turn it on normally. I reported this bug summer 2023 i saw in the release notes of 3.4.3 that its fixed but unfortunately it is not. It is not Leviton problem it is a zwave dimmer problem, i tried it with at least different brands and models. Quote
Shoe Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Chowmain has the Hubitat driver. Hubitat are awesome with zigbee and zwave. Get the pro version. Quote
