jwhitaker@revit Posted June 28, 2010 Share Posted June 28, 2010 i don't think for the functionality of this switch that the price is too high. this is the closest anyone will get to the crestron switch on a system that is not crestron. the nice thing is that it will output both over twisted pair and hdmi. so you can send the audio and video directly to a display over twisted pair hdmi and the audio over hdmi directly to a receiver in a rack. in this config you can get the best video and the best possible audio. switch firmware is also upgradable through the rear usb, and this as field tested only takes about 15 minutes. the switching is almost instant, the only delay is dependent on how fast your display can change resolutions. currently in the system we deployed one on not a single hdmi extender was needed. all in all this switch is worth the coin. just like with all electronics you get what you pay for.
