Ringold
I am interested in adding window shade control to my home project. Can anyone with experience provide me with some information to research regarding manufacturers and installation tips. I am also interested in learning about how to control these devices with control4.I have been looking into "mechoshade" so far. Looks like a solid product but very pricey. Just wondering if others on here have experience with other products. Thanks
thecodeman
Have you looked into Somfy any? We use the Glystros with Cat5 back to I/O extenders to good success.

jbing1982
I have Hunter Douglas Hardwired shades in my house that work very well with Control4. I believe the motors are Somfy LT28's. They use components from a subsidiary of Hunter Douglas to integrate with control4. The components are a R2D7 and aRP60DBM4. There is a serial driver already written for them. jwhitaker@revit
actually i don't like the somfy rs232 interface at all. i like hard wired relays for control. most drivers available forget about the stop option when wiring relays directly to the 6 pin rj11 connector on the motor itself you can get open / close / and stop.
