shoresguy Posted November 27, 2010 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Hello:Newbie here. I have large bank (16 feet and 3 motors) automated shades using the much older Somfy IR system. I am using the IRS300 infared controller with just a single channel IR remote that opens 3 separate shade motors that open as one group. Very simple. I am not sure I want to splurge and converting the whole system to Somfy's RTS system.I know that I could just program my HC-300 to learn the IR codes, but the unit is in a separate room without the line of sight need to control the Somfy IR receiver.The Somfy IRS 300 control unit has 2 optional external relay ports. Has anyone tried the Card Access Wireless Contact Relay which has 2 relays I can connect to open and close?Would this set-up work or is there another way?Thanks!
