Camera Support In Control4

Hi there. I've learned from this forum that Panasonic and Axis cameras integrate the best with C4. I've purchased Control4 stuff with 2.0 software, but haven't installed it yet. A couple of questions regarding the cameras:

1. Does it matter if I get a AXIS PTZ camera model of which does not show up on the list in Composer? Will I loose any functionality or will the default driver work OK?

2. Does the 2.0 software support cameras with resolutions higher than 640px? I've read that 1.8 software couldn't apparently do it.

Just want to make sure I buy correct hardware.
