prairillon Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 With call waiting caller ID and message waiting notification as supported by the telephone company, too, of course
jsmith44 Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 http://www.asterisk.orgI've been reading up on open source PBXs like Asterisk quite a bit, im sure a script could be written to screen pop caller ids on keypads evantually if Control4 wanted to.
danlevine Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 We use asterisk internally... it's awesome.. This requires another device proxy which C4 doesn't have right now. I know in future they will be allowing additional device proxies (ie IP phone)
danlevine Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Actually I've heard there is software floating around at C4 that turns a In wall Mini Touch Screen into an IP phone
RyanE Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Dan,Not that I've seen. I've heard of people trying to compile SIP clients for the mini-touch, but I don't know if they're feasible or not.RyanE
danlevine Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I mean it would work for certain things... i wouldn't want to make a call on a MTS... the intercom seems to be the feature everyone wants... a sip intercom wouldn't be bad?
