Controlling Home appliances

Not so easy at the consumer level today. I would say CA HD relay but then you'd be looking at wiring-in a recept. to avoid cutting the refer's plug off (install is hard-wired). I thought I read somewhere here that now there are (is?) a C4-compat. refer, not that i'd spend $2500 to just for that...

Hi,

Would like to know, how can home appliances like fridge, oven etc can be controlled using Control4?

Yes, but only those whose manufacturers have built in that capability.

Sub-Zero's Fridge and Wolf's Oven demonstrated capabilities with a Control4 system at CEDIA.

Video on this is horrible (and there's probably another CEDIA2011 video about this that's better), but Steve from SubZero / Wolf explains the integration.
