Correct. There were complaints that core 1 was too expensive for osd. Enter core lite.

The Core Lite is limited to a single room. It has HDMI out and three IR/one serial port(s), and an internal Zigbee antenna. So, yes, it can function like a Core 1 for TVs, but at a less expensive price when bundled with a remote.

I would consider looking into Stewart. They have no color shift and minimal sparklies.  But as others have said, if you have a completely light-controlled room, then ALR isn't necessary. You could go with Stewart's StudioTek 130 G4, which will boost the light levels for a brighter picture. But I'm a big fan of the StudioTek 100, with no artifacts whatsoever.
FWIW, we sell both Screen Innovations and Stewart.

Not only that, but Control4 still supports the even older Contact/Relay extenders, which although they don't run a full Linux release, continue to work just fine.
They're as old as (or even older than) the Gen 1 controllers.
Control4 has a pretty good track record for not abandoning things that can continue to be supported (in-wall lighting, non-controller rack mounted gear).

    A few questions:
What is the size of your room?
Is the room completely light controlled?
How far from the screen is your seating?

If the system is mostly used for movies, I always recommend cinemascope (2.40). Over 73% of the films made since the mid 1970's are in scope format.

I'm a big fan of Stewart Filmscreen.

Big thanks to @msgreenf for the creative solution to my problem and for saving me a decent bit of money!  Moreover, given the elegant solution to using Spotify with C4, we're now exploring other options for C4 in our home (baby steps!)  Looking forward to participating more in this community and thanks for the warm welcome.

You can program the circle (Record) and square (Stop) button to do 2 of the things...see my other post.  You could also use Custom Buttons agent to program a bunch more things but those will be on the touchscreen, not quick hard buttons.

Client traded back for the Non Touch so now I have 4 of these. 2 are in the Halo non touch box per the attached picture and 2 are in the original boxes
$600 each in perfect condition includes the charging station

It may seem a bit confusing since they're not red and are hollow, but they're the <RECORD> and <STOP> buttons.

PLEASE NEVER USE this feature with anyone you do not personally know. If they don't want to pay the fee then the buyer needs to up the amount paid or the seller has to take the hit.  @ChrisKay great of you to try and help them out, especially in a situation where many people are losing money on the sale. please do not give up your protections with online payments.

We have city water for the whole house -- nothing special for the lawn on its own. Our water bill averages about $100 per month. Our lot size is roughly 1/4 acre.  The Rachio does save us a lot of water, especially in the summer months down here in Florida, where it rains pretty much every day.
