This statement is correct and what we had to do to modify our licenced lighting drivers that support color temp for daylight agent support.
We worked closely with Control4 to ensure our drivers co-incided with their agent launch.

Daylight Agent adds circadian lighting to Control4
SnapOne just released the Daylight Agent for Control4. This new agent warms and cools white LED temperatures to the rising and setting of the sun for improved circadian health. By mimicing the color temperatures of natural daylight (waking hours high in blue spectrum/bright and sunsets fall in blue spectrum/warmer/dimmer) artificial lighting helps the body prepare for the day, be most alert when it needs to and prepares the body for rest when its time for sleep.
Chowmain is proud to announce that we have updated our drivers to support the new Daylight Agent. The following drivers now support the new agent
Govee Light Group LIFX Shelly Switchbot TP-Link Kasa WiZ Yeelight Haven't used our drivers before? To ensure customer satisfaction all of our drivers come with a 90 day trial. We also offer 50% discounts on licencing for the homes of integrators employees and FREE showroom licencing for integrators who have showrooms.

alanchow got a reaction from Andrew luecke in Chowmain - Light Group Driver
    Overview
Chowmain Light Group allows lights by any manufacturer (including OS3.3 ColorWheel lighting) to be grouped together and operated simultaneously from a single light driver, instead of requiring ALS scenes.
This is beneficial as an example for systems where multiple lightstrips are used for a certain area and need to be the same color at all times, or for easier room lighting control.
This driver does not rely on driver Load Group support and supports both Pre-OS3.3 lightv2 lighting, and OS3.3 lightv2 lighting with ColorWheel. The original (and mostly unused) light (v1) proxies are NOT supported
OS 3.3.2 or later is required to use this driver
    Driver Features
Enables the grouping of lights into a single light Advanced Lighting Scene Support Brand Agnostic. Group together Shelly with Hue, LIFX, Yeelight, or even Control4 lights. Ability to change modes between Color Temp and Hue Turn on light automatically during color changes CCT Capabilities Auto-Detection (Manual selection is also supported) CCT Tracking via Percentage scaling, or the closest Kelvin Level Track Brightness via Average brightness Use the brightess light Use the dimmest Light Use a selected light Or ignore Brightness from connected Lights Track Color/CCT Via Average Color Use a selected light Or ignore Color from connected Lights Button Links suitable for Control4 Compatible Keypads to control Brightness, CCT, and Color FAQ
What are the Minimum Requirements for this driver?
Control4 OS 3.3.2 or later is required to operate this driver. HC Series controllers are not supported What hardware will this work on?
This driver is designed to be generic and work with any OS 3.3.0 light driver. This has been tested with many lighting drivers including TP-Link, LIFX, Shelly and Phillips Hue. Are there any other considerations?
This driver works best for grouping lights of the same brand together. Some light brands may have different behaviors or require additional configuration which may lead to slightly different behaviors between them

    Overview
Chowmain releases tado driver for Control4 providing bi-directional control and feedback over tado's range of smart thermostats, hvac controllers and radiator valves.
tado is a developer of energy conservation technology designed to offer heating control systems for private homes and small businesses. The company's technology offers a mobile application that automatically detects a user's proximity to their residence and adjusts the temperature of the air conditioner accordingly, enabling users to optimize energy consumption at home without sacrificing comfort.
tado° works with all common heating systems as well as with most thermostatic radiator valves.
Integration to Control4 allows dealers to integrate boilers, underfloor heating, radiators and IR based airconditioning / heating systems with bi-directional control and feedback.
    Driver Features
Two way control and feedback over room temperature, humidity, setpoints, hvac modes, fan speeds, and swing control using the Control4 thermostat UI. Hot water control if zone is setup in Tado. Automatic setup of zone capabilities. Automatic import of zones found in Tado home. Automatic renaming of zones in Control4. Periodic polling of zone statuses to keep the Control4 UI in sync. This gives the client the ability to use both the Control4 and Tado app. Tado Zones Supported
Air Conditioning Off, Auto, Heat, Cool, Dry, Fan modes (If AC Unit supports it) Setpoint selection Fan speed selections Swing control selections Presets and scheduling Heating Off, Heat modes Setpoint selection Presets and scheduling Hot Water Auto adds and binds Control4 generic radiator driver On/Off control FAQ
    What products are supported?
Smart AC Control V3+ Smart Radiator Thermostat V3+ (TRV) Wired or wireless thermostat V3+ Add-on Wireless receiver Why is this product so exciting?
In Australia and New Zealand (and other countries) HVAC integration has been hard because HVAC companies do not utilise the honeywell based wiring that most smart thermostats like Nest, Control4 and Honeywell use. Split Systems have been extremely hard as traditionally they only offer IR based remote controls. In the past we have integrated these systems by learning every combination of IR code however this is extremely time consuming.
With Tado, installers can now easily integrate HVAC systems into Control4. On top of that, it is easily retrofittable into homes so dealers can now revisit old customers with compatible HVAC systems to upgrade their home automation system and integrate their HVAC systems without additional wiring.
Where do I buy Tado from?
The Tado Smart AC Control V3+ is available from various retailers off the shelf (Harvey Norman, JB Hifi, Pb Tech etc). The other Tado products can be purchased online from Amazon or directly from the Tado website.
What climate control systems will Tado work with?
Supported Manufacturers include (but not limited to)
Vaillant Worcester Intergas Junkers Remeha Baxi Ideal Viessmann Nefit Saunier Duval and more To check compatibility, see their website. https://www.tado.com/all-en/compatibility
How do I know if my AC is compatible with the Smart AC Control?
If your AC has an infrared remote and the remote displays the current settings, tado is most likely compatible.
Do I need an Internet Bridge for Control4 Integration?
If your install consists of only the Tado Smart AC Control V3+ units, you won't need an internet bridge as they connect to the home wifi network. Any other Tado products will require the Tado Internet bridge.
Can I do scheduling in the Control4 app?
Yes, our driver has built in presets and scheduling.
Are there any other important things to know about this product?
Tado integration requires an active and stable internet connection as control and feedback is achieved via the cloud. Unfortunately, there is no local API for the product.

    MAJOR UPDATE
Last week we released the SwitchBot driver for Control4. This week we have expanded the integration by adding two new products to the driver. The Switchbot Color Bulb with native Control4 RGB color wheel support and also the Switchbot Blind Tilt which makes your existing wand control horizontal blinds smart.
The SwitchBot Blind Tilt is an excellent product which enables you to control your existing wand control horizontal blinds.
The product features a built-in 2000mAh lithium battery, and receives power from solar panels to achieve power that lasts forever.
What is cool is If you are near your blinds you can still control manually, and Blind Tilt will auto-sync all your Blind Tilt devices for you so you get updated positional data in Control4.

alanchow reacted to TexasBill in Solar Panels, Battery and Egauge and cost of electricity
I don't think that there are many that have done this - so I thought I would put this up to encourage others and help others if they are going down this path.
I have a rather large house (about 5,500 square feet) in Texas. We have (usually) light winters and HOT summers.
Electricity for houses like mine are running anywhere from $500-700 per month for electricity. (not a scientific survey but a quick canvas of local neighbors)
I put in (about 11 years ago now) a 10.8 kW solar system (18 panels)
I loved it- together with my foam insulation I was paying about $180 in electric every month - I was conserving air conditioning during the day because I wanted a credit to help cover my nights.
So we were always bordering on sweating or freezing (wintertime)
Then Reliant (my electricity company) starting offering "Truly Free nights". From 8 pm to 6 AM electricity is free. Yes - you pay 24 cents per kwh in the daytime to offset this "free" nights but - my brain said that I have solar during the day so it will be free during the day. So - I switched and we found that we could move all laundry etc till after 8 pm nightly and we were now down to $110 per month approximately for electric - but - the difference was that we could now air condition the dickens at night - down as low as we wanted to go, charge the Tesla and during the day we had plenty of electricity from the solar so now we were much more comfortable and not spending a lot of money.
THEN we added a 31 kw Harris battery (https://www.harrisbattery.com/) with a 15 kw Sol ARK (https://www.sol-ark.com/sol-ark-15k-all-in-one/) to cover from 6 AM when electricity is no longer free till the sun comes out and then from when the sun goes down till 8 PM (I refer to these times as the "shoulders" of the bell curve produced by the solar generation.
The house (using the egauge: https://www.egauge.net/) "knows" when we are making solar and set the air condition appropriately - when there is no solar being made the thermostat is made higher so that the AC does not kick on so low.
MY electric bill last month was $14.
I am telling you this because Reliant advertises this truly free nights:  https://www.reliant.com/en/public/truly-free-nights-plan-lf.jsp and if you look, they show that what I am doing is PART OF THEIR PLAN and recommended -
So - we now have "gas" free - we no longer pay for fuel for our travels.
My plan was up in March so I went to "renew" expecting that they would not let me renew and I would have to pick a plan that worked differently - Imagine my surprise when they offered to allow me to renew for FIVE YEARS online with one button click.
DONE - I now have for the next five years, electric bills that should be $25 or less.
Now - I am nearing retirement age so this is really cool to get this under control for my monthly expenditures when I am retired.
31KW does NOT handle all my electrical needs - I also have a generator for power outages to keep the refrigerator running etc.
I wanted to post this in case it helps anyone else out there.

RTS is a way one-way communication.  As such you cannot get true bi-directional feedback on RTS motors.
You can get pseudo two-way feedback by using Bond Bridge Pro and Bond Sidekick Keypads.
This is because Bond Sidekick will tell Bond Bridge Pro what state it sent.

Anthem used another developer in the past for their MRX drivers and they had problems with the driver they developed.  As such they approached us about developing a solid driver which we did and released a few months back.  Has had extensive testing by ourselves, Anthem and a bucketload of dealers.
An additional feature we added in that wasn't speced in the scope was that the driver automatically turns on the system when Playfi is detected.  Pretty neat.

You need conditional logic to check if the source is the current source in that room.

All drivers use START_VOL_UP and STOP_VOL_UP.  Its just the way the architecture works.
If you are concerned purchase a AVR that has discrete volume control or set the volume limit on your AVR.  Your AVR should have a setting for maximum volume levels.  That way you won't blow your speakers.

Best of luck..  The driver will only start up a room on that one condition.  Otherwise its something in a script that has been programmed by either yourself or your integrator.
If it happens again and your integrator has issues resolving it get them to submit a support ticket and we'll work with them to pinpoint the issue.

I am thinking when my unit arrives (early next week, hopefully), I will just use Zappiti Services to uninstall and reinstall. I bet the one I get has been on a boat for the past few weeks on its way to the U.S., so I doubt it will have this change already. Much rather do the uninstall/reinstall first then to find out later I need to do it
    Thanks everyone!!
