  1. I have 3 modern forms fans and have been happy with them and the integration
  2. For those of you that have your DSC alarm integrated with Control4, who are you using for central monitoring? Have you been happy with them? Thanks
  3. Is anyone with a DSC alarm using zone type 52 for automation only zones? If so could you tell me if when this type of zone is faulted if it says anything on the keypad? I just put in a Honeywell Vista panel and Zone type 23 no alarm response still shows a fault on the keypads and it is causing some confusion for the rest of the family. Thanks
  4. I just put in a Honeywell Vista system and the wireless sensor range is not enough for my dethatched garage so I am considering changing that out for a DSC system so that I can utilze the PowerG Wireless sensors. Sounds like the older PowerSeries might have a little more robust integration with C4, but from what I am finding is that you can only use PowerG wireless sensors with the DSC Neo, is that correct?
  5. Have you tried zone attribute 5 - Force Arm? My understanding is that it will automatically bypass that zone when armed and if it is closed it will then become a monitored zone. The example that I saw was for a garage door. Arm alarm, garage door sensor is bypassed (doesn't need to be closed during delayed exit time) and when the garage door is closed it becomes an active zone.
  6. Has anyone integrated this with C4 yet? Page 95 suggests that it is now capable of integrating https://qolsys.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/IQ-Panel-4-Installation-Manual-4.0.0-210727-FINAL-Optimized.pdf and this article from 8/3/22 provides instructions for how to integrate https://qolsys.reamaze.com/kb/faqs-for-iqp2/how-to-integrate-your-iq-system-with-control-4. I have a Honeywell Vista system and a detached garage that is too far away for the 5800 series sensors so I was thinking that this panel may be a good option so I could use the Honeywell 5800 series sensors that I already have and PowerG sensors for the detached garage. Thanks
  7. Is anyone having issues with August DoorSense contact sensors? After updating to driver version 20220511 my programing that is based on contact state no longer works. I noticed after the update that there is no longer a timestamp in the C4 Android for when the last time the door was opened/closed. The icon still changes and reflects the correct state. I added a hardwired contact to test and see if it was a contact issue in general or just the doors. The test contact and associated programing appears to be working correctly.
  8. If you are streaming your TV service the Neeo. If you want to key in a channel number I couldn't imagine doing that on a Neeo. I am using a Neeo, previously a SR250 and am very happy with the upgrade.
  9. Thanks for the reply. It must be the IQ2 that integrates well... I have been leaning towards the NEO option, seems like the best of both worlds being able to do wired and wireless. I wasn't aware of the potential delay in wireless motions. I would love to not run wire but I think it will be worth it in the long run.
  10. I am considering adding a security system for that ability to add a variety of contact and motion sensors and I have a couple of questions. I am considering the DSC Neo or Qolsys IQ Panel 4, based on what I have read for recommendations to integrate with C4. It looks like they both use the PowerG wireless sensors and are supposed to be the "best" wireless sensor. One of the things I would like is to be able to monitor contacts in real time with minimal delay between the time a door opens for example, maybe lights turning on based on occupancy... and the time it takes for C4 acknowledges the change. I have August locks with the built in contacts and the delay is painful when trying to program off of the status. I am a fan of wired when possible, but am not sure if that same thought should apply to alarm sensors. Is it worth the trouble to run wire or are the wireless solutions as reliable? AT this time I don't plan on monitoring and am more interested in the ability to add sensors. Would one or the other be better suited for what I am interested in? Thanks
  11. Can anyone get me the new contemporary style color change kit for a dimmer and one for a dimmer keypad in white and two of the matching 1 gang faceplates? Thanks
  12. I would prefer wired but some of the locations I will not be able to get wire to. I will be needing 4 recessed contact sensors for doors, I don't like the surface mount sensors, 4 outdoor motions and a couple of indoor motions. Thanks
  13. It seems like the number/style of contact and motion sensors are limited that are natively supported by C4. It appears that there are numerous options if a security panel is added to the system. I don't have any interest in security monitoring but I would like to be able add wireless sensors to my project. Is there a preferred panel that would meet my needs?
  14. Thanks for the response, my explanation may not have been clear. All of my sources will be in the rack which will not be near the TV. I am looking for a way to run a single HDMI from the rack to the TV. I would like to remove the audio in the rack to send it to the matrix. I suppose this could be an option if I ran HDMI from all the sources to the TV then I would run the audio back using this? Unless I don't understand how it would be used I don't think it is the solution that I am looking for.
  15. What is the recommended way to get HDMI audio into an analog only matrix? Currently the equipment is all in the same room so I am thinking that I will run HDMI into the TV, digital out to a cheap DAC and into the matrix. Later in the year we will be remodeling and all the equipment will be moved to a rack in another part of the house. Cable runs will likely be around 50 feet. I am trying to avoid running several high quality (future proof) HDMIs to the TV and audio back to the rack. I have no need for surround at this location. The Marantz NR1200 is interesting, 2 channel receiver with HDMI in. Zone 2 out to audio matrix if I want the same audio in other rooms. Option 2 HDMI switch that has audio extractor and/or DAC to analog matrix and a single HDMI to tv. https://www.marantz.com/en-us/product/av-receivers/nr1200 https://www.hdtvsupply.com/amp/8k60-4k120-4x2-hdmi-matrix-switch.html Is there another option that I am overlooking? What is your recommendation? Thanks
  16. The remote on the 200 doesn't have the LCD screen right? That is a feature that I like, being able to choose a digital audio source without having the TV on is nice...
