  1. Where would you see the speed increase with the CA-10? I have an EA5 and a CA1 as I have about 110 devices on my zigbee network.
  2. I have about 130 devices with an EA5 and a CA1
  3. I hooked a dimmer up to control some lights. I have the black wire to black and it has 125 Volts all the time. white wire is to the white wire, ground is to ground and the red wire is going to the light. It turns on and works perfectly. However when I go to shut it off the LEDs stay on but very dim, and it is still pushing about 52 volts through the red wire. It would seem to me like it should be pushing 0. What am I missing here?
  4. What is causing the actual limitation of 70 devices? Is it the just the processing speed of the controller? Sounds like other people on here have had up to 95 on a single controller, but got better performance when switching controllers. When you look at computers there are 4 main resources, CPU, Memory, Network and Disk. Which one of these resources is the limiting problem? Or is it like an IP network where you are limited to 254 IP address in a class C network, (assuming subnet and router addresses). I know alot more about computers than I do control4 stuff.
  5. Do you have to disjoin the device and join it to the new network, or is there an easier way?
  6. Couple of questions. How do I put them on different mesh IDs? How do I separate the devices between the 2 controllers - like if I have a switch box with 4 switches put 2 on one controller and 2 on another. Or ike the left side of the house is controller 1 and the right side is controller 2. I also assume that you would still need to have the proper distance between teh switches. I am also assuming all of this will show up in one composer.
  7. I see that you can't have more than 70 Zigbee devices connected to one controller. When it is said and done I will probably have like 95 or so. I have an EA5 controller. I also have a couple HC200's laying around, but I assume that I would need something compatible with OS 3.3. Thanks.
  8. You can probably pick up a used matrix off of ebay for a couple hundred dollars and use that while you wait for your new one to come in. Of course as it is working perfectly, you will wonder why you need a new one.
  9. I had 5 MB up and I worked from home. We were streaming on 12 TVs, my daughters were gaming, and we were uploading and downloading to my customers and datacenters. 5MB isn't great, but way better than the days of 14.4K
  10. Working from home doesn't matter. We run about 225 users all running office 365 and Azure over a 100MB connection at work. So when I hear how these houses NEED 1GB at home, yeah OK. I have 1GB at home. Do I need it. No. but whatever it isn't that much. Last year I switched to cable and got 30 down and 5up. and it was fine. Then I switched back to Fiber and went back to 1G.
  11. I wish. 1 GigE. Don't really need more as it is more of a DR site VS a production site.
  12. Don't remember exactly when I got it? I have the serial number if it can be easily looked up.
  13. I am running about 1200 VMs at home currently. They are used to connect to my bigger datacenter.
  14. I don't see why any switch would really matter. All of the higher end switches are fully configurable to which protocols are allowed or disallowed.
  15. Why is everyone using POE switches to power these things. Why not just run real power? We have 15 ipads at work that are plugged in 100% of the time and have been for 3 years now. No issues.
  16. I have 4 apple TV connected to my matrix, but I like the interface of the Dune and Zappiti. I don't really care much about cost. I have used Infuse Pro on my ipads and it is OK.
  17. 1. My 16 Channel LUMA 501 crapped out. (Might see if I can get it repaired under warranty) So I need to get a new DVR. Might also upgrade my cameras. 2. One of my Dune players crapped out. I am looking over the Dune lineup and all I do is stream movies from my NAS. So I want something in 4K, but I don't think I need their top of the line. But some of their players for $89 seem fine. 3. Need some doorbell cameras. Doorbird seems expensive and Ring seems cheap. I think that is it for now.
  18. I have 2 x 24 port 10GB switches and 1 x 48 port gigabit switch and 1 x 48 port gigabit POE switch. There is 100 GB out now. If you are gonna go big, then go big.
  19. I have a binary 520 HDMI Matrix with a 12V 6 Pin power cord. Does anyone have one, or know where I can get one ASAP. Thanks.
  20. I had 24 zones and if you use 2 rachio controllers they don't talk to each other. So that was a huge reason i went with hunter. I have heard that the rachio has better weather stations than the hunter, but what I have seen is that the hunter has a few for free and you can pay a little more to get a better list that will equal the rachio. I am perfectly happy with my hunter so far. I don't know how the driver is, but someone earlier in this thread said they were using the driver.
  21. I just picked up a Hunter Pro HC 24 zone controller with hydrowise. The thing is great. I don't have it integrated with control4 but I probably will. Just one thing that you all will probably appreciate. I switched out my old controller to this one and I put blue tape on each wire and asked my daughter for a sharpie and meticulously marked each wire for what zone it was. The damn ink rubbed right off the tape. So I had 24 zones of which about 3 were readable. So I got to test each wire and figure out what each zone was. So it took much longer than it should have. But works awesome now.
  22. Have alot of work that needs to be done Well this might get me a few more hits since no one has responded. I had a lightening strike so need at a minimum the following replaced. 16x16 HDMI matrix 2 amps, 2 EA5 controllers 13 TVs hooked up 1 projector hooked up New Alarm system needed and then integrated Irrigation system installed and integrated Pentair Intellicenter installed and integrated Garage door integrated door controller about 15 light switches replaced and integrated door station installed and integrated maybe 3 of these Intercom system replaced MUCH, MUCH more.
  23. You should write up a good post of your install and process. It would be good stuff.
