  2. https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=Multi+Screen+Wall&fq=certified%3A"true"&fq=manufacturer%3A"Control4" This driver is designed to control up to 20 screens in a room arranged as minor screens around a major screen. The primary use of the driver is to enable the customer to easily swap the source displayed on a minor screen with that on the major screen. This is most often used when customers wish to follow more than one sports event simultaneously switching the focus between games as they progress. The driver and method described here provides the customer with the flexibility to control such arrangements using the standard Control4 UI. The control of the major screen will enable them to both control the source currently displayed and easily swap with another screen. It is also possible to control any of the minor screens with a separate control device (Touchpanel, App or Remote) which is great when friends come around.
  3. an ea5 has a standard db9 male port, your matrix switch you specified had a standard db9 female port, so you would just use a standard null modem (db9 m-f cable) most likely? what adapters are you referring too? rj45 to db9 adapters to send over cat 5? if so then here is the wiring diagram and you would reverse 2 and 3 on one end to get your null modem. https://downloads.monoprice.com/files/diagrams/1152_Diagram_101221.pdf
  4. check your event logs, to view the event history Press 8, code, 8. page 5 of the manual. https://static.interlogix.com/library/466-2183-e-concord-4-user-manual.pdf trouble beeps are page 66 and 67. also you may have some programming in your project like auto alarm system at midnight if it is not already armed? maybe a zone is open and it can not arm?
  5. come to think of it if it was just this one thing you wanted the bond bridge for you could save yourself some time and money and just hard wire a hack? since your remote only has 2 functions (on and off) you could either use 2 relay ports on a home controller of your choice or a IO extender or a wireless relay/contact module and solder it to the pads on the board of the remote? chances are you have one of these already and you would only require a bit of system programming to bind the relay ports?
  6. as mstafford388 already mentioned most if not all professional monitoring service providers will not allow DIY 100%, now that's not to say you cant not setup the system exactly as you want prior to them coming in to test and configure their monitoring settings (phone number or IP along with your assigned account number) thus potentially saving you tons of money in elevated price options and additional runs if you require changes to your existing system. As for recommendations for said monitoring company it would be useful if you listed what country you are in as monitoring companies are not typically international and will not monitor out of their country.
  7. in your case it looks like you may be in luck, since i did not have your exact model i guessed at this one (manual attached), i then took the FCC ID from that manual and punched it in here https://bondhome.io/supported-devices/ and it yielded these results https://bondhome.io/supported-devices/?fcc=K9L1001 , assuming your remotes is one of the 3 supported ones you should be good with Alan's driver and a bond available on amazon.ca since you are in Canada https://www.amazon.ca/BOND-Makes-Ceiling-Google-Compatible/dp/B071GVGVVH/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=Bond+Smart+Home+Wifi+Hub&qid=1593105479&sr=8-5 . as for the original poster sorry I did not have as good of luck finding his, that's not to say its not supported, i just could not quickly and easily find the same information. 8. if it was within the past hour is it probably because of this: https://status.control4.com/incidents/ndbt4fbcfkj4 Token Authentication service upgrade Incident status: Monitoring Rollback is complete. All devices will need to reathenticate again. Therefore, on mobile devices, customers will need to "Remove System" in Settings and re-enter their credentials. This should only impact users who have tried to authenticate over the last hour since the upgraded was attempted. 9. it might be more useful to explain what you would like to connect to your system? there may be other options. as sonic30101 explained in the first response in this thread global cache make a wired and wireless serial to IP option that integrate to control4: https://www.globalcache.com/products/itach/wf2slspecs/ https://www.globalcache.com/products/itach/ip2slspecs/

  12. i do not own a sr260 that I can rip apart (i have 8 or so sr250's) to verify but after looking at the specifications of the display and looking at a picture of one with the case off it is possible this may be an inexpensive replacement display? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-77-inch-Full-Color-OLED-Screen-SSD1353-Drive-IC-160-128-Long-FPC/32829053322.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.1.2d9f4fd35D24vW&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10065_10130_10068_318_5727318_10547_319_10548_10696_10084_10083_10618_452_10139_10307_532_204_10059_10884_10887_100031_320_10103_5727218,searchweb201603_1,ppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=bb444b1b-147c-463e-9fcd-f9709ae9e470-0&algo_pvid=bb444b1b-147c-463e-9fcd-f9709ae9e470&transAbTest=ae803_5&priceBeautifyAB=0 there is another thread with a tutorial on doing this on a sr250 with cracked display so it may be of some help with regards on opening the sr260?
  13. your location is set at the beginning of your project but i would be very surprised if the driver was passing along that information and overriding your VPN/DNS service but i suppose it is possible if they are working fine as other regions on your other devices using the same service? you will need composer HE (Home Edition) to look or change it, see page 7 and 8 https://www.control4.com/docs/product/composer-he/user-guide/latest/composer-he-user-guide-rev-s.pdf Maybe there is a setting in the driver itself i suppose? sorry the only one i am currently using is tunein so I can not check the ones you mentioned.
  14. unfortunately my model (UN43MU6300FXZA) does not have the ex-link port but in the specs it says "rs-232c ready", after doing some investigating i found this is achieved by using a usb to rs232 adapter or a usb to ex-link adapter, the first sounds like the path of least resistance. not sure i will bother trying though as it is working well after the firmware update, also not sure the c4 driver would recognize the rs-232 connection? there is no setting in the driver properties to tell it i am using serial vs IP and the control method in the c4 database says IP. https://drivers.control4.com/solr/drivers/browse?q=UN43MU6300&fq=manufacturer%3A"Samsung" Mind you it just occurred to me i have not looked at the available ports on the TV to bind too and see if it even lists rs-232 since it is an option? i suppose i could edit the driver and add a rs-232 port to it if it does not have one already? the more i talk about it the more hassle it sounds. i will just try to go by the old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it
  15. initially when I got the TV back at the beginning of June I was experiencing some annoying latency issues which prompted me to post in another thread asking if anyone had used the optional USB to ex-link adapter but I got busy with other stuff and tolerated it until a firmware update come out several weeks later that solved the issue. now it it pretty snappy and I cant complain. It seems the firmware updates get pushed out a little later up here in Canada which is kinda annoying but what can ya do. I still would be interested in trying the USB to ex-link (rs-232) solution as most of my equipment is (and they just work flawlessly) and my OCD in the back of mind still says switch it but hard to prioritize it when it is now working fine over IP with the new firmware
  16. North America to be more specific working fine in Canada
  17. I can't say for sure but I would think a full VPN solution like offered by your current Smart DNS service should work (says they are supported)? https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/ https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/Services
  18. has anyone tried integrating a 2017 model mu6300 series via serial?

  20. and if my above reasons are not enough upon doing some more research which you clearly have not done: 300,000 American Homes Open To Hacks Of 'Unfixable' SimpliSafe Alarm https://www.forbes.com/sites/thomasbrewster/2016/02/17/simplisafe-alarm-attacks/#2e29f3d53b00 https://besthomesecuritycompanys.com/company/simplisafe/ The Bad Upfront costs No professional installation option Recent reports of system vulnerability Customer complaints Upfront Costs Although many SimpliSafe customers will still save money in the long run due to the company’s low monthly monitoring prices, there is an upfront equipment fee that ranges from $200 to $500+. There are five Simplisafe package options to fit a variety of budgets and needs, however, none include a carbon monoxide detector. Also important to note: you own this equipment forever after purchasing. Regardless, this price amounts to years of monitoring service from other top-rated alarm companies. If you need a system immediately and do not have cash on hand, there are other DIY security companies that do not charge any upfront equipment fees. No Professional Installation Option Some customers would prefer to have their home security system professionally installed rather than doing it themselves. Unfortunately, SimpliSafe does not offer professional installation options. Recent Reports of System Vulnerability As reported by Forbes in February 2016, SimpliSafe hardware is vulnerable to hackers, which could compromise the security of the home. Customer Complaints According to the user reviews we’ve received, chief complaints from SimpliSafe customers center around technical problems with the equipment, long customer service and monitoring center wait times, and issues with receiving the wrong hardware. Those complaints about the equipment include motion detectors, and window sensors not functioning correctly.
  21. without investigating their product any further (looks like a cheap DIY solution) I would start by this is what makes DSC better especially in this forum https://simplisafe.com/forum/customer-support-forum/testimonials-reviews-and-suggestions/home-automation-control4 https://simplisafe.com/forum/customer-support-forum/installing-and-using-simplisafe/control4-automation-system if that is not enough SimpliSafe founded 2006 DSC (Digital Security Controls) Founded in 1979 now I realize that just because a company has been around longer is does not make them better but they have a lot more experience and have been an industry leader for much longer and for a very good reason. DSC is not sold as a DIY solution IMO (though they are offering some newer products (iotega series) that may be considered that for tech savvy people) just my 2 cents. also judging by the response you received on your previous post on dec 22, 2017 i am not sure why you are even asking this question again?
  22. DSC is my go to brand of choice. Integrates well and easily with Control4. Large amount of highly reliable competitively priced options. Widely supported. It just works and works well IMO.
  23. ROFL, nice. I don't think their marketing people are doing a very good job thanks for pointing it out.
  24. another document i came across about the API with a little more detail http://dms.hvacpartners.com/docs/1010/Public/00/sw_openapi_gs.pdf
