  1. fwiw I've noticed similar issues and the CPU usage for director dropped from 25% immediately to 1% after deleting the POP3 driver and has been hovering around low single digits.
  2. Hi Alan, I'm having the same issue with the pop driver (doesn't delete) would it be possible to send me the updated driver as well? Thanks, Steve
  3. speaking of the WMC driver - I can't seem to program one of the 250 buttons to be the equivalent of the "green" button for WMC. Am I missing something easy?
  4. ok, no problem - thanks very much...and if you every do figure it out or need someone to beta test, please let me know. i tried to upload the file for you but also got an error. steve
  5. that driver worked, thanks! one follow up question....do you know of a way to enable some sort of PTZ control? thanks again, steve
  6. i have the P7210 http://www.axis.com/products/cam_p7210/ it does stream mjpeg but i can't seem to get it to work. i tried the 241Q driver but that didn't work. I also tried the generic web image driver but couldn't get that to work either. i really hope i'm just doing something wrong - so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks, steve
  7. Would you mind mentioning some reasons why you favor the wirepath dvr or why the axis encoder isn't a preferred solution? I got stuck with an axis encoder that is not compatible with C4 and I was considering one of their other encoders that is compatible, but I'm open to other solutions. Thanks, Steve
  8. Thanks for the reply. I'm using the driver RyanE posted in this thread: http://c4forums.com/viewtopic.php?id=12278 (btw, thanks Ryan!) I'm currently playing around with my cameras and their ability to trigger/call a webpage...so let's say the camera detects motion and I want to lock or unlock a specific door. I could have the cameras send: http://192.168.1.1:8080/lock_frontdoor or it could call: http://192.168.1.1:8080/unlock_reardoor In theory I could test the one "COMMAND" for all possible permutations, but I was hoping to be able to take the "COMMAND" and break it apart into two variables
  9. Are there any drivers (or maybe there's some built in functionality that i'm not aware of) to manipulate strings? Let's say I want to take a variable that contains text like "info1_info2" and I want to separate that string into 2 pieces such that i can separately access "info1" and "info2"? Thanks, Steve
  10. TexasBill - amazing setup, thanks for sharing the details. i'm very interested to hear how the rfid sensors go. I looked into it, but my dealer didn't have a good solution at the time.
  11. I'm hoping to do both (it's a QS system with wireless) - I was told that the Lutron motion sensors would be as fast as the Card Access detectors - I'm skeptical but we'll see.
  12. I'm actually hoping to be able to use video analytics (possibly from www.aimetis.com) to trigger something in C4 based on the software detecting some specific movement. I know I can get their software to do something on the computer - the trick for me will be having the computer take that trigger and pass it on to C4. It sounds like that shouldn't be too hard - but I don't know exactly how to do that. My system should be up and running in about a month and I'll let you know how that goes.
  13. how about something like this: http://pspsecurity.com/products_list.php?products_sub_cat_id=15 or http://www.l1id.com/pages/404-3d-face-reader
