  1. This is the error I keep getting. On the GUI, it keeps says "Driver Initializing..." and will work some of the time, but look it it keeps timing out when calling for the zone names. There are no names in that tab in Composer. 2. Do you know if you can use the 584 with the NX8e? The panel is a long way from the controller, so the P-0003 Ribbon really won't work. However, I do have a 584 board but can't seem to get it to work.
  3. I've had it with my NX-8E setup, the serial module that was working under OS 2 isn't supported under OS 3. Ok, no problem, but I've been trying to get a different supported module to work and in the end I think I have a bad panel. I won't go into the details, but I no longer have power on the panel, it seems. That said, is it worth these days to look for a a system that can integrate with C4 or should I just go with something like Ring? I'm not looking to replace the NX-8E at this point. Just too many headaches. Thoughts?
  4. @brente, do you happen to have the 584 C4 instructing handy? I don't have the driver installed, yet but trying to find them online so I can program my panel accordingly.
  5. Thanks. I am way out of my league on NX programming. I'll get a copy of the instructions and see what needs to happen. The install manual is rather greek to me.
  6. I just did an OS3 upgrade and have an HC-800, put in a EA1. No issues, for me. However, you should take a look at the alarm compatibility. I have a GE NX-E panel and had a NX-587 module plugged into the back of the HC-800 for similar alarm events. The 587 is not compatible with OS3. So I'm trying to find a workaround, but there really isn't anyone around here that still supports NX panels. I've been told the NX-584 will work with OS 3, but requires panel programming.
  7. Resurrecting this thread. I made the move to OS 3 and it took out my NX-587. So I've ordered the 584, but it sounds like there is some panel programming that is necessary? The unfortunate part is my alarm/local C4 company really doesn't support the NX panel any longer (they've moved on to other alarm suppliers), so I'm a bit SOL with them supporting me. To the point where I've been debating whether to just abandon the NX panel and go with something else. If anyone knows how to easily get the 584 to work after going from the 587, I would greatly appreciate it. I really have no issues with the NX setup, when it integrates with C4, it's certainly nice to have.
  8. I tried this and still no luck. Got upgraded from 2.9 to 2.10.2 today, uninstalled everything, used the links in the PDF and still unable to connect. Anyone have any thoughts?
  9. @neil12011 delivers once again. Had to do some swap out of a TV and a receiver, he rebuilt the project in no time, no issues at all.
  10. So I have the 82" 8000 series on the way later this week. Any issues with the driver? I believe this TV has a LAN port on the "One Connect" box and directly in the back of the TV? Which one should I use? Anything else I should know about?
  11. I finally caved and pulled the trigger on the 82" Samsung. The 70" Sharp has been solid (for me) over the years, ready to graduate to a bigger and better picture. I've been debating on the A/V receiver choice. My current Pioneer Elite has done well, no issues and IP control has been solid for me. I elected to go with a Denon 2400H. Any issues? Just looking to do IP control.
  12. How about Marantz? I am interested in their slim NR1608.
  13. Under $1K. Not many components hanging off the current setup and only have 5.1 sound, so don't need anything too elaborate.
