As in go to each keypad, select LED color and set LED on xxx color when on. That sucks lol. I was hoping there was a simpler way to do it. . Thank you for the reply.

Hello, Let's say I have 5 keypads / keypad dimmers that all have 1 button named "Home, Leave, Dogs @home". One press triggers Home, 2 presses triggers Leave, 3 presses trigger Dogs @home scenes. I have the LED colors set in the Advanced Lighting. Each button on each keypad triggers the Macro containing each lighting scene but only the button pressed LED switches as its the only button that called the macro and sets the LED color on that pressed button. How would I go about programming the other 4 keypad buttons to follow the LED color change? Right now the only way I can think of is to program the macro to set each and every keypad button LED color to change when called. I was hoping there was a way to make this quicker...

The title pretty much says it all. I thought it would be a nice way to remind me if a scene is active or alarm system is active before I go and open my bedroom window etc. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Should I use this sort of programming or just call the scene. My thought was that the controller would know what scenes are active if it activated it but I wanted to make sure if I wrote it this way, I was actually decreasing zigbee traffic or is it totally useless or should I simply call the lighting scene when a button is pressed and ignore the traffic. I have about 105 zigbee devices with a lot of scenes and background programming so Im trying to lean down my zigbee noise to avoid possible delays. ? If Lighting Scene "Entry Lights Scene 1" is inactive ->Activate Lighting Scene "Entry Lights Scene 1" So, is does reduce work on the zigbee network by not calling it every time if it's already on or does it increase the work load for the controller and zigbee. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have an older LSZ-101 laying around and thought I’d use it to replace a damaged switch I have but it’s on embernet still. I reset the switch using the 9-9-9 sequence and it flashed but not sure how to make it upgrade to zigbee pro on Composer 3.2.3. I did try going into Networking tools, clicking on "Join zigbee mesh using EA5" and held the button button for about 15 seconds hoping it would automatically join but I must have the process absolutely wrong as it did nothing. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance!

Hello, Im curious on how most people program keypad button experiences that are shared across multiple buttons and tie LED color changes to all of the buttons even though only one is pressed. I have some keypad buttons I use to program a leave / return home type scene with thermostat settings, day/ night variables , dogs@home vs not (experience buttons) security armed or not reminder, rooms off etc. Till recently I’ve been creating the scene in programming under each and every button via copy and paste but was thinking, as it gets more complicated, should I create a macro (rerun home scene day, return home night etc) and call those functions in the multiple keypads around the entrance to use that macro? I noticed that I had forgotten to make the changes to one of the buttons on one of the keypads and realized if I had created a macro and called the macro vs copy pasting to@each button, I wouldn’t have missed the copy paste on one of the keypads. Trying figure out how most of you do this sort of thing. Also, do you typically trigger a variable for scenes like this that will update the LED color on each button if one is pressed and the scene is active? Im trying to have it do RED for Leave, Yellow for dogs @home leave and perhaps green for Home but I want all of the keypad buttons attached to this macro to change when the scene is active. How would I push the LED color to all attached buttons? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I want to create a scene for when I have guests over that will overwrite the typical motion / gate and timed sensors so the lights will stay on though most of the time they are programmed to turn the yard lights in that section off after motion stops. Is there a way to create say a "PM Party" scene where when its activated, these lights will ignore other programming and stay on till 2am or some preset time or earlier if manually turned off? Right now if people wonder around the yard and trigger a motion sensor / gate sensor etc, that section of the yard lights will turn off after the motion isn't sensed for 3 minutes. I have around 10 sensors that trigger this so I was hoping for a simple way to do this over over 15 outdoor light areas with switches on them so its a pain to manually go into the app and turn them back on each time this happens. I might have to ask my dealer if the Older serial system is still there and if they can add the driver back in.

What sucks is I use to have the serial controller but swapped to this as it was easier to use the web GUI to make changes to the variable speed pumps etc. i should have kept both!

Hello everyone, So, I have an EA5 running 2.10.6 connected directly into two Mirage M801 amplifiers. Last week, out of the blue, all of my zones started cracking. I’ve used a different audio source into the amp and it’s not the amplifier. After some debugging, it turns out the analog audio outputs on the EA5 are working correctly but the digital coax outs to the amps seem to be the issue. Has anyone heard of this and is there a patch or fix or is it a hardware issue...

Hello everyone, Quick thoughts on this. I have a unused HC800 in my rack and was debating, in a system with about 150 zig bee devices, a couple EA1s going to the displays and as ZAP, one EA3 for audio to a couple receivers and my EA5 acting as the zigbee server and running all my distributed audio streams to a matrix switch and a few amps, is it better to offload the director to an HC800 or leave it on the EA5?

Hello guys, when adding the Xfinity X1 IP driver, these are the instructions which worked great for the X1 boxes but how do you do it on these remotes that don't have the same buttons... or do I have the wrong IP driver. The one im using is the 2/22/2020 Xfinity X1 driver SETUP STEPS: 1) Activate IP Control on your STB (this requires the Xfinity Remote and an Ethernet connection to the SB): * Press and Hold the Xfinity button for 3 seconds. * Press the "DOWN", "DOWN", "3" buttons. * This will open the STB Diagnostics Menu (there will be several seconds of lag while it loads). * Scroll down to 'Remote Controls' and select. * Scroll to IP Control and select. * With the Diagnostics IP Control page open: - Press and Hold "A" for 5 seconds. - Press "4", "7", "7" buttons ("I","P","R"). - Press and Hold "A" for 5 seconds. * A message will tell you that you are activating IP Control and your STB will reboot. 2) After STB reboot, return to the Diagnostics Menu and return to the IP Remote section. Verify that IP is enabled, and note the IP Remote LAN Address. 3) Setup a static IP Address registration in your router's DHCP menu (beyond the scope of this document) 4) Reboot the STB if necessary to obtain the new IP Address. 5) In ComposerPro's Connections -> Network Tab -> IP Network section, find the Xfinity X1 driver, and enter it's IP Address in the Identify Window. 6) In the Xfinity driver's Actions Tab, press the 'Pair to Xfinity X1' button. This will pair Control4 with the STB. 7) In ComposerPro's Connections -> Control/AV tab, make appropriate A/V connections from the Xfinity X1 driver to appropriate endpoints. In ComposerPro, select File -> Refresh Navigators. The Xfinity X1 STB should be controllable through Control4.

Hello, Has anyone tried integrating one of these new Flex boxes Comcast / Xfinity is giving out? It's similar to Apple TV or Fire TV box. I tried using the X1 driver but it wouldn't pair with the remote.

Hello, Is there a special type of cable I need to buy for these between a C4 HC800 to a receiver? I had some laying around and some worked and other didn't. Are there different pin outs etc? Im pretty lost here as to why some work and other don't... If anyone could point out what cables work that I can pick up on Amazon it would be greatly appreciated and very helpful.

Hello, Are the HC-800 of any use in a system that has an EA-5 serving audio and a few EA-1 outside of using them as a IO extender? Maybe use it to offload the zigbee server role? The only thing Im using it for now are the RS232 Below is a rough system outline 1. ~100 zigbee devices 2. C4 audio matrix switch 3. 5 non c4 amps4 serving 12 audio zones 4. 4 TVs 5. 10 cameras Thoughts and insights are always appreciated on any other uses to speed up the system etc. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for your input. The next question is compared to the first gen C4 amps that I have, will these be a huge improvement... I have some Niles 7.3 and in ceiling speakers running off of the old control4 amp now. Thank you.

Can these be plugged in directly from the Two digital coax outputs to the Mirage M-800 amps and it act as a control4 16 channel matrix switch and amp does with Volume control, Streaming from multiple sources simultaneously to diff rooms or together? A friends upgrading his setup and offered these up but I’m not sure if I need the Mirage streaming controller and if they work exactly like the C4 amp setup does. Thank you.
