  1. Battery life still appears to be of issue. After the update the Halo was fully charged. Watched about two hours of a series on the first night, same on the second night. The end of day 3 battery was low enough to warrant recharging.   Will have to check how long this takes to boot up. Maybe keeping it powered off is the answer.  In my circumstance it’s in a theater room so it’s not being constantly used.  The software update occurred after I had my remote for only a day.   Was it worse before?   Did others see improvement?   Hope the Touch is not having the same issues.

Yes. You can label each button in the Halo driver properties.  Then use room level programming to execute an -activate lighting scene- command.

If you want to have  a single button turn on and off a lighting scene, you can program the button to toggle a variable, the program the lighting scene to -activate on if toggle is true-  activate off is toggle is false-

I was thinking a single custom to bring up a list of my lighting scenes so I could scroll and select. Similar behaviour as the watch button brings up your watch activities.

Depends on the fireplace and if it has an ECM to control it? I just did this on my Heat N glo that has a brown wire the just jumps to the battery pack red wire to complete the circuit and light it up.  Looks like this is a simple power to solenoid setup but only guessing by the pic. In that case just interrupt the power to the unit with the Normally open relay on the Z2IO. Acts just like a switch in this case

not sure on the ECM but the red wire coming in with the black and red leads are just coming from a standard decora switch to turn it on and off.   I'm assuming I would connect those to the z2io - but can you tell me where?  is it the C1, C2 etc.

  4. Trying to switch an EA3 v2 controller to wireless instead of wired.  In the network configuration wizard- wired is selected but the wireless option is greyed out.  Any suggestions?

issue that started on this box is that it keeps losing the wired connection only a restart fixes which lasts minutes or an hour at the most.   Another EA1 on the same switch works fine.  System is about 1.5 years old. No changes to network and even tried swapping the ports to both boxes.  EA1 works fine this keeps dropping.

Is anyone using one of these?  They appear to have a C4 driver. Would this work the same as a C4 Z2IR, other than the fact that it uses Ethernet to connect back to your controller rather than Zigbee?

I have a bunch at home that I don’t use anymore.  GC100, IP2SL(2) several itach flex with IR cables as well as serial.  Let me know if you need more we can work something out
