paulromi got a reaction from BY96 in Zidoo & Control4
Using the TCP driver and WOL did the trick for me.  It was only the discrete power on/ off that was my initial issue. Not sure if I need the movie list on my remote.  I prefer the video wall to be honest.

As an update, and for anyone else in the future that wants to use a Zidoo with Control4, the directions with the driver and from @Kaas Mayer work perfectly to make the video library visible on a C4 remote or app. While I loved the same ability that the Chowmain driver had for Zappiti, there was a longstanding issue (that I know Alan tried to resolve with Zappiti many times) about only certain posters being displayed in the library view. I spent many hours trying to find collection posters that would all work. But the Zidoo library displayed 100% of my posters the first time.
As opposed to the Chowmain Zappiti driver, the C4 driver provided by Zidoo (now in version 23) is very limited. In fact, it doesn't even work to send on and off commands. It is basically only for navigation and control buttons. After some experimenting I found a way to turn off the Zidoo using a few steps (e.g., assign the "red" button to "off" in the Zidoo OS and then triggering the "red" button using the Room Control driver), and had my dealer install the Chowmain Generic TCP driver for WOL. This driver is excellent and a wonderful addition to the Zidoo driver. Not only does it do WOL, but using HTTP GET commands provided to me on the Zidoo forum (and attached here), I can now do any command I need, such as opening audio or subtitle settings. This driver also allows for a command to turn off the player, which is simpler than my original workaround. So, for anyone who wants to use Zidoo with Control4, adding the Generic TCP driver will make up for the shortcomings of the Zidoo driver.
The only downside is that I have to use a Custom Button for these additional commands, as they are not imbedded within the Zidoo controls.

Maybe a workaround? I have scene button programmed that "arrive" executes most of my daytime/evening scenes. one button/kp button (based on time of day) changes scenes ie. Morning, home, evening.  Good night is only activated via button press in the bedroom which starts the next days process again so long as Im home via geofence
    hope this helps

If you can't lock down why the projector doesn't switch efficiently, add programming to duplicate input commands to improve the probably it works as intended. You may need a delay to be sure it's awake, and ready to respond.
Or possibly use 1 input on the projector and switch sources at the equipment location instead.

Programming - Room - when video changes: if source is xyz, then projector select input abc

In that case sound like your wall switch is a simple switch with no power. Confirm that there is no voltage on the red and black wires with voltmeter.  If not voltage then you should be able to hook a wire from the relay contacts to the red and black wire terminals. verify this by using a jumper across the red and black terminals.  Again need to verify no voltage at these terminals or you will fry shit.  Recommend pulling up the wiring schematic  specific to your fireplace.

Blinds aren't cheap in general, and they will be up for a significant amount of time. Chances are you will use them EVERY day. Don't skimp here. Look into Lutron Triathlon if budget is a concern. Battery life in the 3-5 years is typical. Hardwire options available, and you'll need a Caseta SmartBridge Pro for contol and integration. Look into the forums and FaceBook groups. Lutron is always preferred.

paid course?  why not draw eyes to it and get paid via ads on youtube?  Could also help direct sales to WaltsTV for C4 (and other) products
Great idea, not sure how many people would pay for it though.

We use Dymo Rhino labels for any connecting cables (flexible nylon is best for cables), and patch panels get laser-engraved labels by these guys https://www.finelineltd.co.uk/laserengraved.html.

I wasn't a big fan of the Neeo, been trying one out- but this update was big improvement.  But lets not take the foot off the gas yet.  Still not there yet.

I don’t have a problem with Control4 pushing this out. It partially filled a gap they have very quickly. What is ridiculous is doubling the price of what the Neeo remote was.

paulromi reacted to Cyknight in How do you reset the Wireless Outlet Dimmers
There are 3 things that could be considered a reset:
    Reboot - 15 presses
Leave Network and reset to factory - 13 presses
Settings to default - 9 presses

Just make sure you don't do 13 presses when you're not a dealer... 😓
