Sure. I had that kind of problems a lot, cameras connected to ISP router, so I can't reconfigure it, cable boxes with wifi access to ISP router with few ISP WAPS.  Some additional services, client has remote access, security system connected. There are a lot of cases I can't bridge ISP router. So.... there for I mentioned that I saw some systems with double NAT working. As well many times I saw daisy chained routers with same sub net ISP router 192.168.0.1 and another router with 192.168.0.1. I can say more, I saw them connected to same switch with LAN ports, so it was really interesting.  Saw one part of network connected to ISP router and another to another router (Can't print, can't stream, can't see, ETC.). Guy who does network needs to understand what does he do and be able to finf and fix all that "stuff that suppose to make network better". For client it will be good to find that kind of guy and do not touch network even with DIY "easy for self installation" devices.
Found many times P&P means Plug and pray

vitali got a reaction from TundraSonic in How to have KP LED's correctly reflect load status ?
I I created variable "Media status"
Every time if any zone is changing status to "on" it increases variable by 1 ( 4 zones on, it will be equal 4) every time if zone is off it decreases variable by 1 ( turned off 1 zone - 4-1=3), so at the moment we got all zones off, Variable =0. in over section of programming "when "media Status" changes" if it =0 (means all off) change LED to Blue, if >0 - Red, or what ever.
    1 condition

    yep,
    1. in new composer it works better.
    2. depends how many conditions do you have, (if you have a lot of media zones you need to program each one) I found variables work better.

May be I miss something. But you can use Lutron Caseta Fan control. It can be controlled by anything (Alexa, Siri (Home Kit), Control4, Google Home) both ways. Turn on with Siri (Alexa, Google Home), turn off with C4

    Hi,
We used Ubiquiti WAPs  Ap- Ac Pro.,for a while. It worked not bad so far. They have pretty bad support, but I almost never called them. So good so far,. Till download speed was under 150-200 Mb.
Now all new clients (and old as well ) get higher speed internet, They mentioned, they can't get higher than 180/220 Mb. download speed. I tried to connect cable coming from switch  to my comp and I got proper numbers, but WiFi connection 2 meters from WAP still 180-220 Mb. I checked with my comp, checked with iPhone, checked with clients comp.
    I can assume 2 things,
    1. My and clients comps got WiFi adapters that do not support that speed ( iPhone 8 does not support as well )
    2. Ubiquiti doesn't provide speed higher than 200 Mb.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

yep. you are right, but otherwise
    1. he is going to lose some equipment except controller, he mentioned touchscreen and etc. ( may be some hc-200 in the picture?)
    2. 2.5.3 pretty stable and hc-800 can work with it. I think it even can work with 2.3.0 but it is too old.
Unless client is ready to spend money on EA-3/5 and new set of touchscreens ( which away better and fancier)
    Just offered one of solutions..

Many times DIY, Plug&Play ( I call it Plug&Prey) they good for people who knows what do they do. it will never work as good as normally installed and configured system. too many 3rd part drivers, networking, timing, ETC. issues.

hc-800 - good and solid. New ones "work faster" but.... sometimes it doesn't matter, your tv will turn on not in 5 sec., but in 4.5. New controllers work well  with new equipment, if you didn't install anything new. don't worry.

Hi, got some issue with Ubiquity WAPs.
We have some projects we used ubiquity waps AC-Pro, I have controller installed on my comp. How some another tech with different computer can access system and how can he do any changes with out factory resetting all waps??? I tried to contact Ubiquity tech support,
WOW they have worst tech support I ever seen. During C4 integrations  I used contact different tech supports, to make stuff working with C4, usually they helpful, Ubiquity- hopeless.
