I am not a Texecom expert but have the same setup as you (but did it the other way round - SmartCom for the app and then added Control4). I understand the app needs SmartCom so you will need to swap C4 over to the ComIP. I have part arms setup through Control4 and notifications (although I think I need to work more on these) - I’ve never looked at history. crustyloafer helped me with some remote Texecom configuration and events.

ANPR / ALPR Driver For ALL Cameras!

So does that mean 2,500 free look-ups per month? Is the response time still around 2 secs? Thanks! -
Lutron HomeWorks QS driver issues
bdo21 replied to Rob21's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
I have this issue as well. I have Lutron shades and while Lutron generally controls them, C4 has a role when closing some shades (happy to explain why if helpful). If C4 closes the shade, the Lutron keypad requires a double press on the open button to open the shades again. It doesn’t sound like anyone has a solution to this issue? Thanks -
Just following up on this as I am trying to find a patio heater that could integrate through C4. Bromic say their system can be smart controlled but I'm not clear how. Thanks!

Chowmain - Sensibo HVAC Controller & Air Purification driver
bdo21 replied to alanchow's topic in Third Party Software
Do we need a particular Sensibo product (Sky or Air)? Thanks! -
Is this a new build so you can choose your door/lock or retrofit? We did it with an electronic lock on a UK newbuild but it is probably harder on a retrofit

I have Lutron lighting and blinds but went with Silent Gliss curtain tracks because the stackback with their wave curtains was about 20-30% less. Silent Gliss have a Control4 driver so it integrates really well - I use Control4 to control the blinds in response to button presses on my Lutron keypads.

Thank you. The tab swings out correctly but the blue threadlocker stops me being able to screw any further. Could the threadlocker be in the wrong place? Would a bit of WD40 lubricant overcome the threadlocker so I can screw them as normal? Thanks!

C4 just released an Amazon Fire TV driver that doesn't suck
bdo21 replied to BraydonH's topic in General Control4 Discussion
I just received my FireTV Cube today - when amazon say "full ethernet support", all they mean is that they include the same ethernet adapter which zaphod mentioned above in the box! Anyway, I'm just waiting for the C4 driver to be released now... -
C4 just released an Amazon Fire TV driver that doesn't suck
bdo21 replied to BraydonH's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Because all the HDMI devices are in a cabinet behind the TV and the WiFi signal doesn’t penetrate. I could put a WAP in there but that seems an odd way to fix it - a better option would just be an Ethernet connected streaming device... -

Assuming the driver will be released imminently, can anyone comment on whether it will work with a Fire TV Cube in the UK? (I need an Ethernet device and Roku Ultra is not available in the UK) Thanks -
Can either the C4 or the Chowmain Kaleidescape drivers reboot a particular Kaleidescape player? I have an M300 player which needs regular rebooting and I currently do it through the Kaleidescape server web page but it would be good if C4 could do this on a schedule so it works for the children without my input. Thanks!

Has anyone ever looked at Oase’s InScenio FM-Master WLAN EGC (WiFi control) for their water products such as pumps, jets, fountains, lighting, etc? They have some great products for anything water related and the EGC is controllable with iOS and Android apps but I can’t see a web server or IFTTT option. A Control4 driver would be great!

I will start with the caveat that I am incompetent at DIY but I have fitted various Triad bronze and silver in-ceiling speakers in the past. I bought a pair of IC61s and have tried to fit them but am struggling. One speaker is in area where the ceiling is 19mm and the other is where the ceiling is 45mm. The 45mm is a a problem my handy builder solved before with a bronze in ceiling speaker but I'm not sure how so I may have to ask him. However, the 19mm is just standard ceiling but when I tighten the screws, they become incredibly hard to screw further at a point where the gap between the speaker and the toggle at are much wider than 19mm so the speaker wobbles in the ceiling. It is the blue threadlocker which makes it so hard to screw I think. Am I doing something wrong in the 19mm ceiling board area? Have the IC61s changed vs the bronze? If anyone has suggestions for how to deal with the 45mm ceiling area, please let me know! (the speaker holes were pre-cut in locations by the builder) Thank you!

Yes - we thought of that but the concern was whether this would be a short term solution if the HC800 becomes non-compliant with future OS upgrades soon? It might be a cheap temporary solution in any case though. Thanks

I have a need for a ZigBee mesh and relay contacts in a location - I could go for a CA1 + Z2IO but if anyone has an EA3 with a broken HDMI port or similar, I would buy it. Thanks!

We have three motorised curtain tracks from Silent Gliss which are great (and no issue with windows bigger than the one you’re thinking about) https://www.silentgliss.co.uk/engb/news/detail/smart-by-silent-gliss-is-officially-control4-certified/

I had this issue as well - thanks for the advice above - will give it a go...

Perhaps not helpful but I got PTZ working on my cameras using Blue Iris and the Blackwire BlueIris driver for Control4

My family had become so used to using Alexa to play music before we installed C4, I needed some solution to get acceptance of the system. I ended up with echo dots in rooms and echo flexes in the rack. Each dot is paired with a flex as the default speaker so when the family ask Alexa to play a song (just as they normally would with Alexa - no extra words), it plays through the flex. The triad amp senses the audio and switches to that input. It is not perfect - it doesn’t work for all alexa’s functionality (eg Alexa timers don’t seem to play anywhere) and the first 0.5 second or so of audio is lost when switching sources to the Alexa and obviously Control4 just shows the echo as the source without any more information such as song title, etc. But better than not being able to play music with Alexa through the in-ceiling speakers for me.

You can’t run BBC iPlayer on the Roku Ultras so if you want to watch BBC programs, they’re not helpful. The UK versions of the Roku sticks do iPlayer but because the Ultra is not officially available in the UK, it won’t run -

Is there any update on this? Any news on release in Europe? I really would like an Ethernet connected Fire given one of my wireless Rokus struggles (and Ethernet Roku Ultra is not available in the UK). Thanks! -

Thanks - so not now, but hopefully by year-end...
