I’m not a dealer so not an expert in anyway! But I thought you could add a controller to a project and then migrate Director to that controller? Clearly not?

While I hear you… I am the kid in the candy store when it comes to C4 updates… has only bitten me twice BUT, the 2 bites have been the last 2 updates. I bricked my system at my Beach House with the OS3.4.0 update. Waiting a week wouldn’t have helped although waiting for 3.4.1 probably would have. All that said, C4 support across 4 continents were a great support and got me back up and running although I did have a heart attack (or two) for a 1 week period… The second bite is not having HE available on OS3.4.1. And while irritating, it is not the end of the world (will be in a week or so though )

I simply can’t resist…

Hopefully soon… having to get one’s dealer to check little things is frustrating…

I do not use the DS2 snapshot history very much but have found it to be a useful feature from time to time. I went to look at it today (first time in months) and the history is there (showing motion and calls at the relevant times) but no snapshots. I have done the obvious checks and actions (turned event and image history on motion and calling off and back on again), reboot door station, reboot Director. I have 2 door stations and the problem is impacting both. I am on the latest driver and firmware. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The other side of this is what about customers outside the USA? Does the fact that we are forced to stay on 4sight mean that we won’t get access to new features? While I am not keen on the extra payment for the new 4sight (Connect), I also don't want to be forced into not having new features (depending on what these are)…

Unfortunately, the intercom style buttons are not available on other cameras (big pity). One or two camera drivers do allow something similar though. One example is @Cinegration camera agent which is available on Driver Central.

Probably time to get your dealer involved.

That is interesting! If users don’t have the ability to change the device name (within Control4) going forward it will make it very messy (especially for new installs in Apple households).

I see that the iOS app (and maybe Touchscreens - I have not looked) now has a refresh navigators option (hidden deep within the settings menu and called sync system settings - as opposed to sync device settings which was always available).

Now this is an interesting question. I have the same issue at one of my residences where one device mysteriously becomes “local host” and 1 or 2 devices that I have deleted still appear in the setup area for notifications (in my.control4.com)…

Hmmm… interesting. My OSDs are taking much longer to load (after refreshing navigators) on OS3.4.1 May well be related. T4s - 40 seconds (OK but was under 30 seconds on OS3.4.0) EA1s - 2 - 5 minutes (compared to under 1 minute on OS3.4.0) EA5 and core 5 - haven’t tested yet but will.

Hmmm - I have a Neeo where the back box has broken (very annoying as I like the Neeo - despite the shortcomings)… I was keen to replace it with a Halo Touch but this doesn’t sound great.

While we are talking about little bugs on the iOS app, let me add one more that arrived recently. The presets (PTZ set-points) for camera viewing have disappeared on the iPad app. If you know where the buttons are, you can still press them but the buttons and text have vanished! As far as I recall this is an iPad issue only (ie iPhone and touchscreens work fine). Sorry for hijacking the thread

There are ways to get intercom working on most of these tablets but it is a schlep

I am a big fan of a CA10 so would always recommend this… But, I do think something else is going on here. Zigbee working fine to turn the backlights green but not so fine when turning them white does not make (any) sense (to me) unless something else is clogging things up.

loads of laughs - I know many people will prefer this… but I like(d) the big red 4… I always told people to use this to get started… I have now put a “watch” button on the lighting keypad at my cinema door and tell them to press this and then follow the menus…

Yes, this is pretty easy to do as long as the security syste, has a decent control4 driver.

Weird. I’m not sure if HE is working yet so I haven’t tried logging in to Composer. But I do have a USB on my system which is still working after OS3.4.1. So I assume it is visible I use it for screensaver photos not music, so a bit of a different use case but still a USB.

Sounds like something else is hanging your system when you close the garage door. Maybe have your dealer check CPU usage when the garage door closes.
