  1. Sounds like something else is hanging your system when you close the garage door. Maybe have your dealer check CPU usage when the garage door closes.
  2. I do miss the “4” button on the newer remotes!
  3. I’ve also had an issue recently (4 or 5 times) but only when switching from one property to the other. Closing the app and re-opening it has fixed the problem for me each time.
  4. Sounds like you have night mode (think that is what it is called) enabled. If so, you can disable this in the settings on the Touchscreen itself.
  5. O no! Hopefully there will be a quick fix!
  6. Have you tried a hard reboot of the Director?
  7. The improvement seemed to be there with just the app update although I only used the app once or twice before I had the OS update also.
  8. Interestingly my iPad app is much quicker following the app update. My iPhone app is slower than the iPad (which is strange as my iPad is older and slower generally).
  9. I understand that OS3.4.1 is out. My dealer is updating over night. Anyone know what is new?
  10. The drivers are in the Modbus Suite of drivers if your dealer downloads this from Driver Central. While the main Modbus driver itself is a paid (licenced) driver, the other drivers in this download are free (extra) drivers and that includes the single setpoint thermostat driver.
  11. This will work. I would use (and do use for similar things) a Yatun Single setpoint thermostat driver (this is now a HopSoft driver) and connect it to the Z2IO this gives you normal thermostat control and you can choose your hysteresis in the driver. I think you need a connector driver between the Yatun and the Z2IO. All these drivers are free.
  12. As @C4 User says, most of this is possible (and there are usually various ways of doing it). Grouping sensors - some security system drivers do this for you. Failing this, use the Domosapiens security enhancements driver which allows you to create something like 20 (may even be more) different sensor groups. Timers - what you describe can be done with simple programming or use the Domosapiens Advanced Lighting Timer driver. I have never used the latter (as I set up my own programming before this driver existed) but people rave about it and I have been meaning to try it out for ages. Screens - you will need a separate motion sensor to accomplish what you want. You can then program the screen to jump to a given camera when motion is sensed.
  13. Have you checked that 4sight really renewed and is showing as active?
  14. You add an event on the driver page in monitoring and you add the code (script) in programming under voice scenes after choosing the relevant voice scene.
  15. And if you use Alexa routines on top of the above, you can get commands like “Alexa, play U2 in the bedroom” to work.
  16. Timer is a much better option (almost always) than a delay). There can be delays on backlight changes (I think LED and backlight changes are a low priority on the Zigbee command stack). But the delay shouldn’t be more than a few seconds.
  17. I’ve had something similar twice (once was a V1 thermostat and once was a V2 thermostat) in the last 13 years and both times my dealer fixed it by updating the driver (to the same version). I.e. basically reinstalling the driver over itself without losing any programming. I have no idea why it happened but in both cases this solved my problem.
  18. An upgrade to a CA10 is well worth it but I don’t think that will fix this problem. This sounds like either a zigbee error or a programming error (could be something as simple as 2 garage doors closing shortly after each other and commands not firing quite in the order you expect). My guess would be that this is a programming error and I would suggest starting a 30 second timer when the doors close and then checking the state of the 3 doors when the timer expires in order to determine the backlight colour. If this works and is stable, you can reduce the 30 seconds. Another thing to check is whether composer shows the same backlight colour as you are seeing in the real world. If not, then it may be a zigbee error (although I don’t think that is likely).
  19. I can understand why many (most) projects would go that way. I haven’t followed this approach (for various reasons) and have an underfloor heating “room” and an aircon “room” where I can control all of these items from. As I have around 30 thermostats (for aircon and underfloor heating) in each of my residences, I have not wanted to have them all appear in every room. This is extremely annoying and not just at start up. I have around 20 “rooms” (in each of my residences) where I don’t have a thermostat. Many of these are virtual rooms (eg a room for “Power and Solar”, a “Settings” room, a “Monitoring” room etc,) . I tend to add thermostats from time to time (e.g. one for geyser control was added recently, another to monitor the heat in my manifold for my water based underfloor heating was added a year or three back and I had one added last week to control my Chiller pool. Each of these when added has created an auto connection to the 20 or so rooms without thermostats and it is very annoying! Especially as this cannot be resolved with HE. At least I am very aware of this now and so careful to make sure that the right things are done when a thermostat is added (I.e disconnect unwanted connections and remove it from multiple rooms).
  20. Happy Christmas everyone. To all those who celebrate Christmas, I trust that this Christmas will be a meaningful one for you and your families as we remember the reason for the celebration, God bless. Thanks to everyone on this forum for your input and online friendship over this last year as we have shared the passion of home automation and, particularly, everything that Control4 can do. May 2024 be a great year for you all.
  21. if you reach out to Janus, they will (happily - I think) link in to your driver. They have done this for me for a number of other third party drivers and their driver documentation says they are open to this.
  22. This is correct and a royal PITA if you have different setups across your different rooms and then add a thermostat later (I’ve gone through your pain on numerous occasions). If you have / want the same (Comfort in this case) setup in multiple rooms then @msgreenf approach will work perfectly.
  23. Correct. It does. Unfortunately, some devices (eg thermostats) are added to the view in every room when added to a project. They also become the room temperature for all unconnected rooms (a very frustrating default in my view).
  24. This plus you will become tempted to make your project bigger and better and at some stage things slow down again and you want even more power (I am, sadly, at that stage). Maybe T5s and a CA11 would make me really happy in 2024
  25. @bnorman - since you are still active this week, I thought I’d tag you on this discussion also
