  1. I have an existing C4-THERM with another IAQ device. Since it can't support two, and I want the dehumidifier I'm installing to be tied into c4, I'm thinking about getting another C4-THERM to run just a dehumidifier. In theory, this should work fine, but has anyone done this before?
  2. yep, just checked a few other sources and found it with some other names, but the same set. most notably, on siph0n. thanks brente!
  3. ok cool, if it's already been posted i'm happy to remove it. just want everyone to be aware that their info may be in the wild, since this is considered a new data source for people who watch for these things.
  4. thanks! good to know. i do believe this is the first time i've seen the complete dataset in the wild, though. have you seen it before?
  5. Sorry, but with respect, you're not correct. This file is already public, and there are no restrictions against this. I've decided to post the direct link so people can see how they're affected. Also, a search of your email address at haveibeenpwned.com will yield the same file.
  6. just got notification from haveibeenpwnd.com that all of the accounts compromised from this site have been released. the dataset is about 4 years old (or more). if you haven't changed your password, you should, and make sure that you're not using the same password on other sites.
  7. yep yep and yep. if they built that in, we wouldn't have a need for WU anymore.
  8. Definitely, I don't disagree. What IBM did is they took a great, consumer- and business-facing service from all angles (www, api, analytics, and more) and cut all other services to consumers by pricing them out. As a company who is generally out of the consumer-facing game, this is what they're good at. I totally agree that there are other services, ones like DarkSky, which provide all of the stuff that they do to both consumer AND businesses. All they had to do was implement API call limits. The fact that IBM/WU hasn't done that and didn't make any plans to migrate despite the major backlash they got on their own forums is flat out incredible. What this really means is there's room for someone to take the spot. DarkSky is my pick, but they need to create a few more features to compete directly with WU's old model.
  9. totally agree, but i also saw that WU has having trouble scaling and supporting on their own. their servers were constantly down for hours at a time, inconsistent data, loss of data, and more issues. while the people and the application were great, they needed help. i wish that IBM helped them in a less shitty way, but they DID need help. unfortunately, the fallout from this is widespread issues and disappointment. as an example, take a look at the response to the latest android app update
  10. same, i picked up a rainwise mkiii-LR and can't even use the data from it in my system, like outside temp and humidity.
  11. ref: https://apicommunity.wunderground.com/weatherapi/topics/end-of-service-for-the-weather-underground-api https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eKCnKXI9xnoMGRRzOL1xPCBihNV2rOet08qpE_gArAY/edit << this is the API documentation other info: https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/8tjavu/now_that_the_free_wunderground_api_has_been/ << other methods @Shivam Paw, i love darksky, but unfortunately i can't get real-time data from my PWS (Rainwise MkIII), and (unless I missed it) i'm not able to get triggers from events like tornado warnings.
  12. the challenge isn't getting the API calls; they're public info. the challenge is re-writing the driver, assuming it's not locked. and if it is, then you have to write an entirely new driver. AND you will need to take in to account the fact that legacy API keys are supported as well as new API keys.
  13. because wunderground changed their API. the old API doesn’t work and no one rewrote the driver other than using some generic forecast. also, new wunderground users can’t get an API key so its EOL anyway
  14. nope, just the APs, that's why they're cheap yes they're used but were wiped/reset and pulled from a working environment. that environment just moved to a different platform.
  15. 2x Pakedge WK-2 APs - $75/ea 1x Pakedge S24F (24 port switch with 2x SFP) $125 Will ship CONUS only. Shipping will be $19 for the APs (1 or both, total cost). Shipping for the switch is $30.
  16. good callout. the URC looks like a newer Harmony remote using the design from 8 years ago. Either way, I love the Neeo and I dont use voice control. I do wish it had a few more hard buttons, but for my personal use (no cable TV/sat/etc) i don't need hard numbers so it's not a deal breaker.
  17. there's the only press i can find so far. google still has some stuff cached from c4's site, but c4 has removed it all
  18. IIRC, it was released with the original run of the T3 screens as a limited option. Couldn't pass up a red one
  19. I have one white 7" portable touchscreen and one red 7" portable touch screen for sale. Both come with the base stand. I have one power plug (all of mine run on PoE) but can look for another one if required. Red - $510 White - $410 Both prices include shipping via USPS Priority in CONUS. International shipping can be discussed, price will be at-cost.
  20. HC800-BL-1 and HC250-BL-1-A upgraded to EAs, no longer need these. working environment. HC800 comes with rack mount kit, IR blasters, antennas, power cord, terminal blocks. HC250 comes with IR blasters and power cord $old for HC800 (shipped in US), $50 shipped for HC250
  21. DarkSky is great, but I have a great weather station to provide even more accurate data than darksky. it seems they've extended the use of PWS owners API, but eventually that will be moved. IBM is handling this really poorly and not telling PWS owners what will happen, but when they do we will need to update this driver with the new API calls/hooks.
  22. The WU API is ending on 31DEC2018 and they're moving people towards the Weather.com APIs. Is there an existing driver for weather.com and/or would someone be willing to write one? I'm also curious if C4 will work on it 1) at all, or 2) before the existing driver ceases to function. https://apicommunity.wunderground.com/weatherapi/topics/end-of-service-for-the-weather-underground-api
  23. ah ok, soft reboot. good to know. ill have to get this up on the managed PDU so i can do the power cycle that way. thanks!
