Thanks all! The previous owner has only directed me to the dealer when I inquire.
I live north of Houston. I can see Control4 is option in my network options, but it’s password protected.

I would love the opportunity to donate. Is there a way to set this up? Perhaps open another thread with a link. This site has both generated income for me, and it's helped me solve problems for myself and my clients.

    Happy Automating!!

I have found that f i delete the remote driver form the project..and re-add the driver.. THEN go into connections and identify the remote..click the red 4 , 4 times... it works

All this assuming you have started with resetting the remote
Also to leave the network that the remote thinks it belongs to:

    Hope that helps

Greenfield Solutions has worked with Reolink to release a driver for Reolink's innovative line of Cameras.  Reolink has an innovative all battery powered WiFi camera which I believe will be the first battery powered camera to allow for integration for Control4!  The Reolink Keen - https://reolink.com/product/keen/
In addition this driver will work with all Reolink cameras.
The driver will be released in the next few days! Just final testing and tweaks.  Waiting for some API feedback on motion detection.

StroTek LLC reacted to ejn1 in Doorbird Experiences
All, I thought I would post a few experiences with my Doorbird D202.
    Likes:
Very Professional Look and clean installation High build quality Good Camera quality and audio quality Limited noise / interference when 2-way communication with the Doorbird When someone presses the doorbell, it takes a clean pic and saves in the app Dislikes:
First and most important is around the clumsiness of the remote access via IOS and the quality and speed of the connection.   I have very strong Cellular LTE connection much of the time but yet almost NEVER is the connection to the device quick enough for me to actually answer the doorbell before someone walks off.  The lag via IOS cellular connection is awful thus negating one of the primary reasons on bought the device.   When the Doorbird APP rings on my Iphone i get a notification pop up on main screen but the iphone is usually locked.  To answer, I cant just tap the notification, i have to unlock the phone, scroll to the app, open it and then in most cases it lags for a very long time to connect and sometimes never connects.   Not sure if this is because doorbird is in Germany and the intercom call are routed their via cloud ? The Doorbird "Birdchirp" chime is very difficult to hear outside when someone presses the button.   You cannot change the outside chime or volume at the doorstation.   I have the Control4 houselogix driver and that is disappointing as the lag to get the ring through my audio speakers is almost 15 sec.  After trying this for a few days, i disabled this in C4 and just hardwired the Doorbird to my door chime inside the house which works instaneous.  I understand that if you have a C4 amp to speakers, the lag can be reduced but i have it going to a soundbar connected via HDMI to my C4 controller and the lag is too long to be useful. All and all, the lag to the IOS and the frequent inability to connect real time, and the clumsiness of connecting of IOS App is making for a not so positive experience but there is hope i guess for future doorbird improvements. A tad too big in the design but can live with that...

The input sensing to me is probably the greatest part, I have a customer who insists on using his tivo remote, and then the TV gets out of sync with inputs

I really do love this driver

StroTek LLC reacted to GoBigBlue in Changing dealers
    Good morning,
I am unhappy with the service from my Control4 dealer. He was very helpful during setup and working the bugs from our system. In the past two years, however, he has become less and less response to service requests. My two emails requesting a new driver integration have been ignored. I would like to find another dealer. I have a few questions:
    1. I don't want my current dealer to have any access whatsoever to my system. Is there a way to restrict ALL remote access to my system.
    2. Other than Yelp or Google reviews, what's the best way to find a dealer who is willing to work with new technologies and third-party drivers (like those from @alanchow) has excellent customer service, and will not relegate "older" customers to the bottom of his to-do list?
    Thank you.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I'm not getting consistent behavior yet. I was, now I'm not. I was, then I wasn't. Kind of like an Aggie checking a turn signal. "Now it's working. Now it's not. Now it's working. Now it's not." Hope yours keeps working great.

StroTek LLC reacted to alanchow in Chowmain - IFTTT Maker Driver adds Amazon Echo, Geofencing, Push Notifications and more to Control4
Not really a bug.  The error you're seeing is if the pushover server gives a 400 error.  Most common problem was the Control4_IFTTT device already exists.. well used to be the most common problem until Pushover gave us a secret url parameter that allows us to overwrite the device with a new device.
Anyway glad you like the driver.  Always keen to see what people are doing with it (one guy did a sports bar where it could change RGB LED's to the teams colour when they score a goal).

This driver is awesome... did find a small bug though ( I think)

if you make a typo in your username/password for pushover.net in the driver properties, you get a LUA message saying :
it would be helpful if it said that you made a mistake on your username/password

StroTek LLC reacted to Cyknight in 4 WAY SWITCH
YOU START BY TURNING CAPS OFF.
Then you re-read the dimmer's instruction manual which will give you every possible method of wiring an aux keypad, also telling you that an aux has no hot whatsoever.
Unless of course you don't actually have auxiliary keypads but normal keypads.

Obviously tech support can't help you, can't go around yelling at them.

StroTek LLC reacted to alanchow in Chowmain - Big Ass Fans / Big Ass Lights Driver
Chowmain - Big Ass Fans / Big Ass Lights Driver
The Chowmain Big Ass Fans Driver for Control4 allows integration of the IP controllable Big Ass Fans and Big Ass Lights into Control4 allowing full 2 way multispeed fan and multi level lighting control over your home.
Integration into Control4 allows control from a single point using Control4's touchscreens, mobile applications, keypads, handheld remote controls and cloud based 4sight remote monitoring and control service. On top of that it exposes control over the Haiku products in the Control4 ecosystem to provide interaction from other devices in the home.
From turning off your fans and lights when you arm your security system to automatically turning them on when it detects you are at home and if the temperature is at an uncomfortable level integration provides you with so many different solutions to make your lifestyle that much easier.
    General Features
Automatically Discover and Manage Big Ass Fan Devices on your network using our new Big Ass Fans V2 Agent Instantaneous Feedback Wide variety of read/write variables for feedback and advanced programming Light Features
Automatic Naming of Lights Auto mapped light levels (Control4 has 0-100 where Haiku has 0-16) Support for Advanced Lighting Scenes Two way feedback – Level, Device Name, Device MAC Address, Device IP Address Programming Commands OS 3.3.0 CCT / White Temperature Light Color Wheel Support BUTTON_LINK support for brightness and CCT control by 3rd party devices Fan Features
7 Speed Control Automatic naming of Fans Assign Preset Speed (On speed when toggled) Two way feedback – Speed, Device Name, Device MAC Address, Device IP Address Programming Commands - Whoosh Mode, Fan Auto, Fan Direction BUTTON_LINK support for Toggle and cycle up/down support by 3rd party devices Sensors
Occupancy/Motion Sensor Support and bindings to detect if a room is occupied or not Temperature and Humidity Sensor Support FAQ
Which Big Ass Fan Products are supported by this driver?
At this time, the following products are supported:
Haiku (H and I Series) Haiku L Haiku Light i6 es6 If its supported by the Big Ass Fans mobile app, it's probably supported by our driver.
Where is the Fan in Control4's interface?
Fan control is available from Control4's lighting page
How come the dimmer level changes slightly when i set a level?
Many light only have dim levels of 0-16, which may cause the level changes to vary
I notice that the driver automatically renames. What if i want to name it myself?
Adjust the Auto Rename Property on the fan.
How do i use whoosh, fan direction or the automatic settings?
These functions are programmed as one-way commands in the fan / light driver's programming commands. You should tie these into experience buttons, schedules or other event based programming.
What Control4 OS is required for this driver?
OS 3.3.0 or above is required for our Big Ass Fans V2 driver. For Legacy systems, V1 may still be used, but requires older firmware and supports limited hardware
My Fans were working correctly in V1, however, the fans do not operate in V2
You must upgrade your mobile app from the original Haiku App to the new Big Ass fans app and update the firmware. V2 requires updated firmware for operation. V1 does not require updated firmware, but it does not support all of the features or hardware of V2.
I have functionality I want to use which isn't available as a command or binding
We expose lots of functionality as variables which you can modify. If there are variables which you can't write to, or if you want functionality which is better handled in another way, let us know.
Do you offer any other cool drivers?
