  1. I am only running 2.7.2 so can't speak to 2.9. I suspect they may have changed some things with the new EA controllers
  2. @Johann thank you so much. Figured it was a remote reset that was the problem. Thanks so much. Did both the reset and leave the netowk and re-identified and we're good.
  3. I just bought 3 used SR-250 remotes on ebay and need some advice on how to get the system to identify them. All 3 remotes start with a message "Waiting for Network" when batteries are inserted. I have tried to type the MAC addresses into Composer (2.7.2), but it still doesn't identify. When you push the LIST button the remote goes directly to the Settings>Configure page (unlike the one remote I already have that's connected). If I use the 2,4,8,6,#,* command I noticed that two of the remotes are bouncing around from channel to channel. One of the remotes was locked on Channel 11. I was able to get that remote to identify after a couple of tries by pushing the red 4 button. So I suspect the problem is getting the other 2 remotes to lock on Zigbee Channel 11. How can I get the remote to lock on one Zigbee channel? One unrelated question - two of the remotes are C4-sr250RSK-B and one is C4-SR250B-Z-B. The one i got to work is the RSK. Which is older?
  4. I corrected the problem on LTE by opening the C4 app, changing the IP address to a bad address, trying to connect (which fails), then changing the IP address back and connecting. This worked for me. Again see the thread as follows: http://www.c4forums.com/topic/14682-unable-to-connect-to-myhome-over-vpn/
  5. I just read your thread. If you edit the IP address in the Control 4 app and change it back it works over LTE. I'm on 2.7.2 so C4 has not fixed this bug or they want to sell 4sight licenses. So this is not a VPN issue at all. Thanks again for the lead
  6. Thanks for the lead. I am trying to do this over LTE because if I access the VPN while I'm on my local network it behaves like there is not VPN. I can't try this until I get to another network. I did have my daughter try this from her network and it did not work. Will look at the post.
  7. I have a slightly different screen (includes account info) and Advanced Security is not something that can be selected, but IP address is shown and it can be pinged. Again, I have no problem if I am on the LAN with the App only when I tunnel in with L2TP VPN from outside the LAN.
  8. How do I check for layer 2 broadcasts on VPN?
  9. Thanks to both. To be clear, the Control4 app works fine when I'm on the network and IP address is entered. Not sure how to check Layer 2 broadcasts are set up in VPN.
  10. I have a L2TP VPN set up on my network firewall that allows access to the entire network from outside. The Control4 app on my phone appears to time out when I try to use it from outside. The Lutron app works fine for my RadioRA2 switches so I know I am getting to network. I can ping the HC-800 IP address and it responds. Am I missing something or has Control4 done something to lock this down?
