  1. It would have to be from biz jet weather radar, but I don't know what bands they use. They point at us when they are turning final to the airport.
  2. Added an AP to the garage. Thinking my wife's car triggered this, as it has more radar sensors than the highway patrol. Edit: Actually, different band... but I think when this happens it disrupts the 2.4ghz band -- and probably screws up the Halo? Maybe?
  3. "Then connect the control4 driver." Is this something I can do or do I need Ari to do that? We're headed out of town this weekend, if it is still on the network when we return I'll give this a shot.
  4. Just happen to have a new one for the lake cabin. I’ll try swapping them — but have to get it back on the network first.
  5. Tried everything my pro recommended+. Tried TP-Link Deco ax55, Unifi AC-Pro, and Optimum’s cable modem/WiFi 6 router. Halo is in the same room as the AP. So signal strength and pwd complexity are not an issue. Since voice doesn’t work wish I had an old reliable 260 back
  6. I heard that C4 is demoing Siri/voice support with AppleTV at Cedia. Wish voice worked on mine. Wish mine would stay on the network.
  7. https://www.casetawireless.com/us/en/products/pico-remotes Thanks to being OCD, got a bunch to replace the old ones and match the Diva and Claro switches we have. Available online from HD now. PM me if you want some old Picos.
  8. After pricing AVRs that are supposed to work, I'd never recover the cost of the AVR while I live in this house. So I'm just going to pay the Joey fee and give the ATV app on the TV a try before buying another ATV. Thanks for all the responses.
  9. I'm considering adding a TV to our master bedroom, which is very close to my equipment closet that runs the main living room TV. Rather than doubling up on ATV and adding the Dish Joey, I was considering an AVR that supported two video zones. My old Pioneer Elite (SC-65) had two video zones, but the output was restricted on zone 2. I think analog in was handled just fine, but HDMI/HDCP stuff wouldn't go to zone 2. Has this changed? I'd like to hook everything up to the AVR and be able to send it to either zone with no restrictions. Thanks.
  10. Because you don't want "Waste from garbage disposers shall not drain to grease interceptor." If you have a grease interceptor you don't want to fill it up with the crap you send down the disposal. Having a grease interceptor in a home is overkill, imho.
  11. Turns out our generator included an APC. Essentially a BR1500MS2. A pleasant surprise.
  12. We have frequent power outages, usually just long enough to make everything reboot. (So much for moving into the city.) It's gotten to the point that I'm really worried about the hardware in my system. Dish Hopper, Core1, Lutron Pro bridge, router, switch, AppleTV, Xbox One and the Sony OLED TV. It often cycles quickly, on/off/on/off/... and that's my main worry.
  13. Thanks, very helpful as always. I'm sticking with the Sony's. My son might put a Frame in his bedroom for the art feature. I told him to get the matte.
  14. I'd rather get the 65" but the 75" one will completely cover a recess the builder put in for a TV above our fireplace mantel. I've heard the 75 has light bleed issues? Anyone here have experience? This would be our primary television. The 65" Sony OLED would move to our bedroom. How is the picture quality compared to a Sony OLED? Thanks for any other inputs.
  15. I get it. It is frustrating all the way around.
  16. You are correct. Channel up down doesn’t work in the app either. Funny how the “environment” only affects C4 and not Dish, Sony, Amazon and Apple voice control.
  17. Apple voice once worked perfectly, but hasn't worked for weeks. Channel up/down buttons don't work with Dish Hopper. Pretty tired of continuous trouble shooting. Removed and re-added to the project, rebooted each piece of the puzzle individually and all at once (wifi, Halo, Core1, ATV, Dish Hopper, TV) talked nicely to it, re-added it to ATV, cycled Siri control on/off/on.
  18. You should see your controller in whatever room it's in. If it's not there, you need to re-do the C4 pairing process. Sorry I don't remember the steps so I won't guess.
  19. HomeKit will prompt you before opening/closing the garage door automatically or unlocking doors -- which I agree with. But the CarPlay functionality puts things one touch away. Even with prompting, we don't use it to unlock or auto-open the door. Since we often pass through the fence, it would be very annoying and I wouldn't trust myself not to fat finger it. You can't fly IFR without an IFR certified airplane and removable electronics aren't certifiable. But everyone uses the iPad as their electronic flight bag flying IFR approaches. The plane doesn't use it, so that makes it okay with the FAA. If your phone isn't on the cellular network or your home network, geo-fencing is obviously not going to be able to communicate with your HomeKit devices/controller. If you have no cell/network coverage, then you'd need other sensors. We had a driveway sensor at a previous house in the country that triggered the lights. Effectively a geo-fence, so to speak. We haven't come home to a dark house in more than 5 years. I couldn't do without it.

Back online, but even though it controls the AppleTV just fine, the voice support gives me the "Watch this space" error now.
  21. Absolutely love it in HomeKit. We approach the neighborhood, the garage door comes up on CarPlay. Last one out, first one home, when I leave, when my wife leaves... events all work like a champ and (knocking on wood) very reliable. It doesn't have "at night" or "after sunset," etc. so I previously kludged it by going HomeKit > Lutron > C4 and programming it in composer. Now I just don't worry about the time of day for geo fenced events. Still use the C4 coding to handle scheduling/time of day related programming. Apple (and Google) building it into our phones gives them an edge third parties like C4 don't have.

Thank you! It is doing a firmware update now.

Maybe that is what it SHOULD be -- since composer isn't communicating with it? You'd think it would show the last info, tho. I emailed @chopedogg88 - and I should've contacted him sooner but we've been in/out of town.

How do I get the QR code to come up? It goes right to the network error when I shut it down and restart it.
