  1. AVA remote better in that you can load other android apps if you’re an advanced user (basically josh remote is AVA that is in kiosk mode so it is locked to josh app by installer). Let me know if you have questions since I can get u either

  2. This just started happening. Select directTV or Dish or Roku etc in watch and up it comes with the screen to control it (DVR, guide, channel buttons etc). Then 2 or so seconds later goes back to room home screen. To get dish controls you need to select again. In T3 settings menu, return to home after...set to NEVER. T3 rebooted. happening on all 4 of our T3 touchscreens. Any ideas how to return to old behavior of staying on the correct control screen and not going home? Thanks

  3. core adds considerable processing power, speeding up the micros too (even with no nanos in project). Also when using only micros (no core) you are supposed to have at least one hardwired (rest can be wireless), with a core you don't have to. And the biggest reason is to use audio cast with micros (sound through your speakers, automatically lowers volume when you say Hey Josh and then resumes sound at previous level). A micro speaker volume alone in Theater room would be too low to hear anything if main speakers do not lower when you try to issue a command (eg pause movie). So core+micro is the ideal situation

  4. If you are in US it is actually illegal to remove “stuff” if you have paid for it. You may point out to your old dealer that you can sue for all the money paid to him unless he restores the system. Then after he restores the system that, you can change the dealer of record in the C4 site, and revoke his access, so he cannot access your site again. The reason for that is if he truly removed all drivers and connections (as opposed to programming), a remote dealer cannot program your system because they do not know what you have (lights, etc) . You would need a local dealer to do that. So getting the old dealer to restore the system is faster and easier. Then a remote dealer can do the rest in terms of the programming you want. I would also have new dealer change the director password so old dealer has no way to get in. Be careful though since the old dealer can password protect the director to make it hard for new dealer.  Composer HE won’t help you since you need Pro to do any real programming. If you have a backup of your system there are ways to upload into director to make this much easier. Sorry this happened. I have gone through 4 dealers locally (two are in jail, one in drug rehab, one never answers calls). It is crazy how C4 let’s anyone be a dealer. Find a good remote dealer and you will be happier.

  5. The main culprit was the ping driver. Also Houselogix cloud driver. Removing those made system noticeably faster. I then removed all non-critical or those not updated in a while (intrinsic’s Apple TV driver, annex4 hunter Douglas driver, Shairbridge) and that improved it some more. Logs didn’t show any of these drivers being an issue. But Andrew saved the day! Whatever voodoo magic they use at Chowmain and Oz fixed it. Weird thing is these drivers have been in system for years and the issue only cropped up last week. So not sure if the update of something else made these leak. Only driver I recently updated was DS2. 🤷‍♂️
