eddy.trochez got a reaction from Don Cohen in Chime VDB: Doorbell Press results in loss of Luma 510 NVR Videofeed
Live3.sdp is the Substream and that is the one freezing. Set both the main and sub streams in the NVR to live.sdp which is the mainstream.

How are you integrating the Chime to your NVR? Onvif? There is a bug where the RTSP stream will freeze when the button is pressed. I reported this to Control4, but it wasn’t even acknowledged. There no reference number that I’m aware of. The only way to fix this is to use the RTSP URL directly and not the Onvif profile. Also, you need to use the main stream for recording, since the issue is in the Substream.
Also, in my NVR I use the main stream URL for both the main stream and the Substream.

Go to customer.Control4.com, go to “Devices” and delete all the devices in the account. Delete devices, not users. This will log you out of the app. Log in and try again.

eddy.trochez got a reaction from msgreenf in Dam-it Flood Sensor Failure and Work Around
You can use any sensor with the Dam-It valve. The sensors communicate with Control4 and not the valve directly, so you can use any sensor including the $10 wired sensors in Amazon. I do agree with the OP, the Dam-It system is junk.

eddy.trochez got a reaction from msgreenf in Integrating Control 4 Intercom to a Voip System
You cannot connect Control4 Touch Panels to your phone system. However, you can connect your SIP phones to Control4. In other words, the SIP phones can be part of Control4 intercom system, but Control4 cannot be part of your phone system. Your phones are end points that can be connected to the PBX and Control4 at the same time. C4 touch panels can only be connected to C4 and can’t be end points to your phone system.

eddy.trochez got a reaction from Neo1738 in CHIME QUESTION
This is not accurate. Announcements will automatically play the doorbell sound trough the speakers and resume the music afterwards regardless of the source selected. The selected source has nothing to do with this feature. This is a built in feature in Control4 and it doesn’t require any special programming, except for the creation of the announcement and the execution when the doorbell is pressed.

eddy.trochez got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in T4 vs T3 screen resolution and refresh rate
Here's a video of my T4 playing a full 1080P 30FPS signal coming from my AppleTV (YouTube), it plays beautifully. And just to show you how awesome the T4 is, I show my portable T4 playing the same content over Wi-Fi with no lag. Sound is coming from the in-ceiling speakers. Yeah, that's a video of the new GT3 992, arguably the best driving car ever built.

eddy.trochez got a reaction from Time2Jet in RTSP Stream to C4?
You mentioned that you’ll be using either Luma or Hikvision (same thing) as your NVR. You can connect the HDMI from the NVR to the Matrix and create an event to show a camera in full screen with a doorbell button press. I have done all the suggestions I have mentioned and there are many ways to do what you want and it’s pretty easy to do too. Decoders are great when you use a computer or NAS based system. But if you are using a regular NVR, then forget the decoder. You can just connect the NVR to the matrix and create the events. I have systems using Hikvision NVRs that show a DS2 feed in full screen when the DS2 button is pressed. After 20 seconds it goes back to showing all the cameras or the source being used. I don’t do Hikvision NVRs anymore, now I do computer based systems. That’s why I use decoders.

It’s a shame that you want to replace Control4 with Harmony. You can have a remote dealer from this forum take a look at your system and see what can be done. They are great programmers here that can fix your issues.

eddy.trochez reacted to msgreenf in Greenfield Solutions Remote Programming
Greenfield Solutions has started to take on select projects, where we feel we can add value for remote work. I am not looking to take on a ton of projects, but only ones that well align to my experience and where I believe I can offer both competitive knowledge and pricing on the work.
No Control4 hardware will be sold - programming only. But Hardware and drivers from BlackWire Designs as well as drivers from DriverCentral.io are available.
Please don't hesitate to post or message me!
If you are any of the people I have remoted in and helped, don't hesitate to post

eddy.trochez reacted to Drake0508 in Control 4 to Harmony Elite
I just switched over from Harmony Elite to a C4 setup. It worked ok for me because I had Lutron lighting. I also used a SmartThings hub to connect everything else. I just got tired of the outages and wonky UI. I would also suggest having someone who does remote Programming look at your system. I am extremely happy with the change to C4. I’m sure there will be problems at some point but they are electronics. I’ve come to expect it. Having said that, it sounds like you are certainly having issue that aren’t little glitches. I have a remote programmed. I’d be happy to give you his contact info if you’d like.
