  1. Either I'm having a problem with event filters in all my navigators, or I don't understand how they work. I have a Luma Insights Bridge connected to 4 cameras. When I click on "History," it shows me all the clips from all 4 cameras over the past 7 days, as it should. However, when I click the filter button, some of the cameras don't show up in the list of filter options, even though they visibly have video clips in the event history list. In particular, cameras that have not generated clips for the past, say, 3 days, will not show up as options. If I go and walk in front of those cameras, to create a new event, then they immediately show up as an option in the filter list, and when I filter events by those cameras, all the cameras events show up, even ones from 3 days ago that were already there when the filter went "missing." Is there a setting I need to change in order for the filters to show all cameras with clips from the past 7 days, or am I misunderstanding how the filter list screen is supposed to work?
  2. That's interesting. I no longer have the lost connection on reboot problem, at least not since that particular driver update. However, I do have random disconnects every few months. Sometimes, there will be a multi-day period of frequent disconnects. We have 7 Ecobees in the house and one Control4 Aprilaire thermostat in the garage. The Ecobees are gorgeous to look at, easy to use at the thermostat, and easy to use on their own app. However, I haven't had to give that plain vanilla garage C4 thermostat a single ounce of attention since I put it in and programmed it up about 6 months ago. The Ecobees on the other hand.....
  3. I just had my system updated to 3.4.1.705920. I also updated Composer HE to 3.4.1.706039. However, I'm nonetheless seeing the "could not connect to director" in Composer HE. This is for a local connection, not remote. Am I on the right Composer HE version? Is there something else I need to do in order to get connected. Thanks a lot. [EDIT: Never mind -- I just saw the older post about needing to delete the old appdata folder for Composer.]
  4. What exactly is the meaning of a "unique" event on the Luma Insights Bridge? The Bridge documentation says this type of event fires "only when the event is tagged as unique." Does the AI tag an event as unique, or is this a manual operation? And, if the former, what defines a "unique" event exactly? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for confirming. I guess there's something on my end to investigate.
  6. Is anyone else seeing a “service unreachable” message in the Ecobee network driver properties field today? I noticed our thermostats weren’t responding to programming this morning, but I didn’t see the “request PIN code” message in our navigators. Upon going into Composer, I noticed this message. Our therms are all online and reachable via the Ecobee website.
  7. Is a factory reset of my EA-5 controller required here?
  8. Well, I rebooted my controller today, to see if that would fix it. And, now my touch screens won't work and composer won't connect. I see "Broker is not connected to Director. The connection status is: 'Exception: Error reading Token from JsonReader. Path." I rebooted again and got the same error. Any ideas? Man, I am regretting this Bridge installation!
  9. Mine shows as active. I wondered if a separate license for Insights needed to be set up, but my dealer said no.
  10. For the record, that didn't help! I also find it puzzling that the timestamps in the Luma device logs (and the event times reported in Composer) are all in terms of GMT, and it doesn't seem to want to sync to my time zone. I think it is time to throw in the towel and call tech support.
  11. It does not show any events. And, it also doesn't fire events programmatically in my tests. I'm wondering if all this could be related to my Synology NVR setup. I have Luma X20 cameras, and the Synology occupies two separate streams on the cameras. As I understand it, Stream 1 goes to the local Synology NVR, while Stream 2 goes to Synology's cloud servers as an off-site backup. Is it possible that the Luma Bridge is trying and failing to access to one of those streams? If that theory seems plausible, I can try mucking around with my NVR setup to see if it solves the problem.
  12. Ugh, I was afraid of that. When I click on history and then the filter icon, it doesn't show me any options related to the cameras. Is that a problem, or is that to be expected?
  13. The bridge is installed, but I must be doing something dumb. No matter how much I jump up and down in the camera's field of view, nothing ever shows up in history, and notifications never arrive in the app. I have tried forcing test events in all 4 streams, and they don't work either. We have checked: cameras are assigned in OvrC; we had areas of interest configured previously, and now they are cleared, just to maximize the chance of a trigger; Composer shows the bridge as online and all 4 streams as "operating"; notifications for all cameras are active in the iOS app; C4 app is allowed to send notifications in iOS; the live feeds from the cameras show up fine on Touchscreens and the app; and, I refreshed navigators. Yet, nothing shows up in the history of the cameras on touch screens or app, and no notifications arrive. Am I missing something?
  14. I would have said the same thing two days ago, but I have had the driver require re-pairing with C4 3 times in the last 24 hours. Hopefully it's just a temporary hiccup.
  15. I currently have a set of Luma x20 cameras, and I recently bought a Luma Insights Bridge that will be installed soon. I already have four region intrusion areas set up on each of my Luma cameras; I used the local web-based interfaces for the cameras to do this. Will the Insights Bridge use the same 4 areas for monitoring on each camera, or will my dealer need to set up completely independent monitoring areas for each camera on OvrC for the Bridge? I ask, because I'm wondering if I can tweak the Insights Bridge areas myself using the camera web interfaces, or if I am going to need to get my dealer involved every time I want to tweak them. Thanks a lot.
  16. I don’t think there is a way to make a Control4 touchscreen — as opposed to a TV screen — jump to a specific camera programmatically, but I would love to be proven wrong.
  17. Crap. I think I have a dead EA-5. Shortly after this problem, I saw the dreaded blinking red triangle. Ugh.
  18. I started having a weird Composer problem this evening. When I try to update programming, I can't see code items being dragged and dropped. But, if I switch away from the trigger I'm working on and then switch back, the programming change is there that resulted from the drag and drop. E.g., suppose I am adding a line of code to the "when variable X changes" screen. When I drag and drop to add the line, nothing appears to happen. Then, if I switch to the "when variable Y changes" screen, and switch back to "when variable X changes," the new line of code appears. I am using Parallels with Windows 11. I did update Parallels a few days ago, but this problem started just now. I tried restarting windows and restarting parallels. I am on the latest version of Composer. Any ideas of something else to try?
  19. I hadn't, but that is a good thought. The Chowmain driver looks cool, as usual.
  20. I'm looking to buy a wireless outlet switch to run our Xmas tree lights! Thanks
  21. I use Parallels on my Mac Studio, and I used to use Fusion on an older Intel-based Mac. Parallels could not have been easier to set up, and Composer works fine on it. Fusion worked well enough, but (last year at least) the installation process for Apple Silicon devices remained way more complex than it had become on Parallels.
  22. I also use the Roon driver. It is pretty good, and it is certainly miles better than my alternative, which is the (crippled) Sonos driver. However, the Roon C4 interface is much more stripped down than what you are used to seeing in the Roon app. It is also buggy, and, since Roon has basically washed its hands of the driver's continued development, those bugs are likely there to stay. On the plus side though, it is free and works with any kind of Roon core, so you've got nothing to lose by giving it a shot!
  23. If you use the HSIM module instead of 4232 CBM to integrate your Vista panel, you can use both TotalConnect and Control4. This is what we do with our Vista 250bpt, for exactly this reason. While there were some bugs in the HSIM driver a few years ago, it has been working flawlessly for us (knock wood) for the last couple of years.
  24. Any reason muting the room wouldn't work? Otherwise, you can likely turn off individual devices programmatically as needed.
