I am just finishing a project in one of my spare rooms to make 2 sleeping pods. All finished complete with a T3 touchscreen in each pod. The only thing missing is a screen on the end wall to accept a hdmi input from my matrix. Want it to be thin as possible but have an inbuilt speaker. Any suggestions?
Hi all, I have a few engraved buttons that have chipped and need replacing. It’s only 3 in total and was wondering if someone could add them to an order?
I have just had mine fixed, turned out to be a duff regulator on the main board and a new power supply. Such a cheap fix if you can find someone who knows what they're doing.
My chime (wi-fi) has stopped sending notifications on motion after my ISP went offline for a few hours. I have rebooted controller, chime and router several times ( which has previously worked after a power cut) but still no joy. Doorbell press works fine and I can receive the notification if I test it in HE. Anything else that I can try?
I always thought voice assistants were a bit of a gimmick but having used it with C4 for around a yr I really like it. Use it all the time for lights as mentioned but also use it to open blinds, activate voice scenes like party which set light scenes and chooses playlist etc. one we use all the time is one for going to bed which activates a macro for tights off/ on av off etc.
the bit with Josh Ai that really appeals ( apart from the privacy of course) is the better music integration( I believe you do need a Sonos port if not using Pandora) but it knows what room your in and plays accordingly. Also the compound commands meaning you can give it a list of commands in one go. Just wish the price was more attractive especially the subscription part.
would be cool if it could be integrated into touchscreens
I decided to go the route of a matrix yrs ago when streaming wasn’t really prevalent. I upgraded the matrix to 4K a few yrs ago. I now have roku sticks local at each TV and only use the matrix to distribute sky around the house and 2 inputs are empty.. Works a treat but as the sky mini boxes can’t do 4K I’m not sure I’d bother if I was starting from scratch.
I would add to not be put off by the dealer only model. I started out wanting to do everything myself but once set up correctly by a dealer, you will be quite surprised how little you need one. Especially if you buy composer HE which allows you to program and do most tasks other than adding new hardware or changing connections.
