The rest of my project is working fine. However one room does not list the other video sources. I've tried copying from another room, but that does not work. Can't find my training book, and I don't recall if there is a preliminary step to take before video sources will be listed. Any advice is welcome.

Advice for installation pricing model
tcwalker5 replied to tcwalker5's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Thanks. -
I am not a traditional C4 dealer, but I am C4 partner developer with our own products. I need to install rack, network equipment, run network cables and connect cameras and other devices for our customer. I have 2 imminent installations and several to follow. Since this is not our traditional business model, I'm seeking advice. My question for the dealer community is what would be a standard daily/hourly rate in Texas and Florida for the physical installations I mention above. Programming and other non-physical tasks we will manage remotely. I appreciate your insight and guidance. Thanks, Ted

One TV not displaying video from matrix

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. Since the signal shows as OK, I was hoping that wasn't the problem. Large effort to access it. -
One TV not displaying video from matrix
tcwalker5 replied to tcwalker5's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
C4 10x10 matrix No receiver, just straight to LG TV for video and C4 24x24 audio matrix and C4 8x8 amp for audio. Will try other steps you recommend. -
I have one TV that all of a sudden stopped displaying video and no audio. All sources behave the same on this TV All other TVs in the house see the sources just fine. HDbT link is good according to composer. HDMI ports are good on TV. Connections are correct. Stumped as to where to look next. Any suggestions?

Has anyone come across an issue where after upgrading from 3.2.1 to 3.2.4 the Lutron blinds no longer work? When using the native Lutron app the blinds work as expected. However, if a c4 button is pressed to open or close a blind, it only moves a few inches and then stops. Nothing other than the upgrade has changed. I've reviewed all drivers and settings and all seems to be correct and up to date. Any ideas?

I've been unsuccessfully searching for a thread that I think @Cyknightposted some time ago about setting thermostat to use a remote sensor. If I recall, it was not the wired remote sensor I'm using today. I'd like to use something like the z2io or something similar. Can someone either point me to that post or share how to set that up on the thermostat? Or maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly.

Much improved Pentair IntelliCenter Driver
tcwalker5 replied to South Africa C4 user's topic in General Control4 Discussion
I see that is IP control. I don't have that and am not familiar with how Pentair works. Is that an upgrade I need to add, or does it come by default and I just need to plug in the ethernet or configure WiFi? -
I just sent you a PM.

Going back to the 3d printer comments. With the ability to send prints online for almost nothing, it can be an approachable solution. Does anyone have a sketch with the dimensions? I'm happy to build it in CAD and make the .stl file available to anyone who needs it.

Rack options to run EA-3 Controller

I had 2 8-zone amps fail in 3 years. So I would not say good. -
Retro led lights C4 modules - Need Help
tcwalker5 replied to Elite Sustem's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Interesting. My dealer never mentioned anything about which lights are compatible vs not. My assumption was that it just works. My light fixtures are all types of lights mostly LED. We have 2 problems. One is the LED strip under the kitchen cabinets. When they are dimmed below a certain level, they start to blink. The other are various can lights that will flicker even when set to 100%. The electrician said it was the fixture and replaced it. This happens from time to time on different can lights. I wonder if what I am seeing is what you are referring to? -

Did something change on the rank progress on this site?

I got rookie a couple of days ago. Far less posts than you. Must be a huge jump from rookie to the next rank. Out of curiosity, has anyone seen what the rank level goals are? -

Panelized lighting one keypad not working
tcwalker5 replied to tcwalker5's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Resolved. Somehow it was unidentified. -
I have panelized lighting and use the wired keypads. One of my keypads (and only one) has stopped working. Unless it is coincidentally the last one on the bus, the fact that all other keypads work leads me to believe that the bus is operational. One LED is illuminated, but it doesn't match the programmed button. I have tried to reboot the keypad with 15 taps, but that hasn't helped. My next step would be to factory reset. But I'm reluctant to do that in case it leaves the keypad in a state that I can't access. What do you suggest I try to further troubleshoot?

My exhaust to exterior is a 4" flexible dryer duct that goes from the top of the closet straight down to ground level outside so about 8'. Not the ideal route but because the path is short it might not be too bad. I've tried to read up on how many CFM the duct can handle but can't seem to find conclusive answer. So my question is, can I get a larger fan to move more air at slower speeds (and hopefully quieter) and still move adequate air, or should I match the fan size to the duct size? Quietest option is the goal.

I'm curious what most installers do regarding patch panels or direct connect home runs to switches. I requested that every jack in every room be hot for data. So it is a 1:1 cable to switch port ratio. My installer decided to bring the home run directly to the switch. But after reading more about this, I feel like they should have used a patch panel. What is the consensus among installers?

Neeo NE-RMT has poor wifi connectivity
tcwalker5 replied to DAVIDN's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
I haven't heard this before. Which blacklist? What are some of the problems outside of what the OP mentioned? -
For my data closet, the dealer installed a bathroom fan and vented it out through what looks like a clothes dryer vent. The fan is actually the loudest piece of equipment followed by the 10x10 matrix. How quiet is the AC Infinity that you are using in the pictures? How would you compare it to a bathroom fan, or your loudest piece of equipment?
