  1. Mine would not allow any toggle of the setting in the iOS app until Refreshed in Composer HE. Thanks for pointing in the right direction chopedogg88 !!!!
  2. FIXED IT - DOES NOT REQUIRE A SERVICE CALL FOR THOSE USERS WITH COMPOSER HE: 1) Open Composer HE 2) Go to Cloud > Apple Bridge > Actions Tab 3) Click REFRESH 4) Go to iOS Control4 App > Settings > Preferences > Apple TV Control (it will now be switched off) > Turn it ON 5) Follow steps in iOS Control4 App (Apple Home pop-up screen comes up in app) to add Control4 EA Controller Family bridge and remotes (I don't think it matters what "room" you put them in, just add them all back - I had 2 remotes) 6) Once done the setting in the iOS Control4 App for Apple TV Control will be switched back to ON It should then be fixed. PS - this is crappy that the Apple Home update breaks the integration requiring the above.
  3. Tried, in the current version of the iOS app it results in error message: Apple TV Control Unable to remove Apple TV integration.
  4. Control4 Director Version 3.3.0 Navigator iOS App version: 324.6.0 Was working over the weekend no issues. Control4 (remotes and Control4 iOS app) will control TVs, AVRs (volume, sources, etc), but none of the controls work on AppleTV (for play, pause, FF, REW, menu, home, etc). The native iOS remote app will control AppleTV, so I know that the AppleTVs are on the network properly and are able to be controlled through iOS. Already rebooted AppleTV and Control4 - still same issue. Only thing I can even think of that was updated was Apple Home App asked to "Update the Home" (or something like that) just within the Apple Home app. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. What is the cost of the driver? Is there an annual subscription?
  6. You mention Nice. I have a Nice gate that I have been wanting to integrate into Control4 forever. Are you guys going to have a Nice brand driver as well?
  7. I think you'd find many households who use Control4 are also very likely the same households where an Apple ecosystem dominates. There are a lot of advantages to having a music service run natively both in the home and in the automotive world: Not relying on a single user's phone in a shared environment like a home makes a lot of sense. As well, having the full user interface to the streaming service is nice on a home automation platform like Control4. Same reasoning exists in the automotive world - not having to navigate your steaming service on the phone and use cases where you don't want to connect your phone, and the benefit of navigating the music service from the auto's main screen. For those of us with Apple everything, it makes a ton of sense to use Apple Music - and native on Control4 just could make it that much better. I currently use Amazon Music - native on Control4 which is very nice, but not native on my vehicle.
  8. We've all talked about this before, but here we are in 2024 and still no Apple Music native integration. Native integrations exists in: Savant Autonomics (which can be integrated into Control4 at significant cost) Sonos (sort of) Tesla Eversolo, Wiim (and others that are hardware solutions built on Android that are actually running Apple Music) Control4 really needs to add its EA series and Core series controllers to the list through whatever means necessary. Crazy that we are in 2024 and still having to use ShairPlay to get Apple Music through Control4. What do we need to do as a user community to get some momentum behind this?
  9. Finally! And thank you! Now we just need Apple Music to work natively within Control4...
  10. Why did you replace the Hue? Do you like the Wiz as well or better than Hue?
  11. I have fairly large implementations of Wiz tape lighting. Used for large ceiling details in multiple rooms and under floating cabinet lighting as well as under cabinet lighting and a few bulbs used in pendant fixtures. When compared to Hue, I did the math and it is far cheaper ($48 vs. $99 for a 6ft starter strip), and the quality is the same or better for the light strip itself. Sure, it isn't like purchasing some random brand reel of 100ft of LED tape from Amazon, but it is a good quality solution with support and drivers available for Control4. If for any reason I sell my home, the lighting can continue to live on the Wiz app without Control4.
  12. Not trying to start an argument, but just curious why anyone would want to hassle with all of the additional programming, equipment, and complexity necessary for DMX? Seems like there are plenty of all-in-one solutions that bypass the necessity for DMX. Also to the above question - the Wiz driver I am using is: https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/lighting/wiz-led-rgb-wifi-light-driver/
  13. Whoops - yeah corrected that - Wiz not Wix. Ha. So we are currently using the driver from Axon Engineering. They have done a decent job of updating it and it works with the new Control4 color wheel, etc. That said we do have an issue with their new version of the driver being able to group lights. For example, I have 3 different bulbs in pendant fixtures hanging over a dining table. I want to be able to group all 3 of those lights in Control4 under one name and one control (including the color wheel) - can this be done with the Chowmain driver? Any other advantages of the Chowmain driver versus the Axon? Thanks!
  14. I use Wiz. Search the forums for my previous posts on this. Availability - you can get them at Home Depot. Cost - they are relatively cheap compared to Hue and others. Performance/quality - there are online articles comparing them versus Hue (generally thought to be top quality) where reviewers could barely tell the difference (they are both made by Philips). Integration - there are now two different Wiz drivers available. My experience has been very good with the integration - zero issues and I have them indoors (LED strips) and outdoors (bulbs). Frankly don't know why more people don't use Wiz. Only downside is that each bulb/strip does use its own IP address and if your WiFi setup is not strong could congest your network, but that is true of any Wifi solution versus Zigbee, etc.
  15. I have that lock and have it working with Control4 using the August card. Yale bought August and the August stuff is now called Yale Access App under the Yale brand. Using the August driver for Control4 and it works great.
  16. All of this. HE should look and feel exactly the same as PRO, but the PRO functions should be read-only.
  17. I hope you are right and I hope they do listen. To me it looks like C4 is trying to mimic (unsuccessfully) the flat Savant user interface. I also hate the sub-menu under the new 3-line hamburger in the latest revision of OS3 so much that I refuse to upgrade. The colors and flat iconography is just a mess. To see them doing more of the same on the Halo has me worried they are going down the wrong path. As I've stated before, I am ok with flat design, it just needs to be done well (like Savant) to make it look elegant and modern as opposed to it looking like a 4th grader's homework project making icons in PowerPoint... People get heated (including me) about interface design because it is the INTERFACE and user experience. Everything else under the hood can work fantastically (and for the most part does in C4), but if the user interface and experience is disappointing it unsteadies the entire ship.
  18. I think we are missing the point that the interface on the Halo looks like a giant, horrible stinking turd. Looks half baked at best. The Neeo interface looked great, but the button situation was lacking. Now we have a great physical remote in the Halo with train wreck of an interface. If this is where OS4 is headed on iOS (phone, iPad) and C4 touch screens, I'll stay on OS3 forever.
  19. That. Is. Horrible. So we have OS3 skeuomorphic style icons for things like channels and devices such as AppleTV now mixed with flat icons for lights, rooms, comfort, etc. Umm yeah. So basically no standard. Looks like a huge turd. [Skeuomorphic design is a design approach that uses visual elements to mimic real-world objects or materials, while flat design is a design approach that uses simple, two-dimensional shapes and icons without attempting to mimic real-world objects or materials.] In OS3 there was a design principle and standard similar to Apple's (https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/app-icons). Now we have some weird mix. The skeuomorphic design introduced in OS3 provided a rich feel to the top level user interface (Lighting, Watch, Listen, Comfort, Cameras, etc.) in the app and Neeo remote. Flat design at the next level down (for example from Lighting > individual lights / sliders) made sense without giving up the richness of the icons at the top level. I don't totally hate flat design compared to skeuomorphic when it is executed well (see Apple again). Here it looks like someone took a set of pre-existing icons and ported them over. Comfort, lighting, rooms - all look the same at a quick glance on the Halo remotes shown above (same color, same shapes). Compare and contrast to flat design icons on your iPhone. If this is where OS4 is headed, someone needs to go back to design school.
  20. Wait. That's the user interface for the Halo? What happened to the icons that look like what is in the iOS App? That looks horrible in my opinion. Interface is going backwards.
  21. Agree. The 3-line hamburger does not bother me as it is now a standard design element. What bothers me is the horrible icons under the hamburger menu that are totally inconsistent with the rest of the UI in Control4. In fact, I have not updated my system software because of this. Really bad.
  22. Certainly an apples to oranges comparison, but if Tesla can agree to get native Apple Music working it would seem that Control4 should be able to do the same.
  23. Wasn't Control4 and Apple forging deeper integrations (in some announcement that I think was pre-Covid). Is there any word on whether or not Apple Music will ever come to Control4? I am in the same boat and using Amazon Music - the integration is pretty good, but we are otherwise all Apple and it would be great to be on a single service.
  24. Need some help to: 1) Remove two existing wireless door sensors from system 2) Replace with two wired door sensors already in place Would need someone to walk me through programming through keypad to remove the existing wireless door sensors, and also which terminals to connect the wired sensor wires to in the panel and then any programming to add the wired sensors. Feel free to message me with availability and rate. Thanks!
