  1. Hi - looking for suggestions/experience. Looking for lighting options for an office workspace that is a bit short of natural light. It's an old industrial building, with fairly small windows. I want to find some tunable white bulbs/fixtures that are (hopefully) dimmable as well with C4 integration. The ceiling is open, so LED downlighter modules won't work. LED strips won't work for this application either. Open plan, probably bulbs within industrial style pendants. White only required, no color needed. Large rectangular LED panels suspended from the ceiling would also work. Space is around 1500 sf. I'm thinking TP-Link/Kasa or Hue, but hoping there's a few other ideas. Thanks.
  2. Hi, Working remotely on an apartment refurb project in the UK - ground floor apartment with no CAT cable currently in the property. Floor construction is concrete slab, on top of which will be underfloor heating encased in a concrete screed. Walls are solid block, so very difficult to run any cable through the walls (not sheetrock and timber etc.) My question is whether I could use outdoor/direct burial CAT6 cable directly within the screed ? That would be very simple as it could be done at the same time as the underfloor heating is being laid. Will the jacket of the cable be 'screed-proof' ? Or do I need to run conduit etc. ?
  3. I've seen similar issues on Araknis routers when they get too hot. Check ventilation/temperature etc.
  4. Thanks my friend. I already set up custom buttons for them as a workaround, but they don't like it. Bit unintuitive if you don't use it everyday etc. It is what it is.
  5. That’s what I thought. And exactly what I wanted to avoid
  6. Customer has video sources running through Yamaha AVR to a Samsung TV. Video endpoint is TV, audio endpoint is the AVR. They want to be able to control the TV speaker volume as well, as they sometimes prefer to use the TV speakers late at night. I assumed that if I give them the TV as an additional watch source (Samsung IP driver) and set the TV as Video volume 2, then the volume control would work for the TV speakers when that source was selected. Switch back to the correct video source (Apple TV etc) to control the navigation of that source etc. But it’s not working for TV speaker vol control Driver control of TV volume is working through Composer. I’m not in front of my laptop right now, so I hope I’ve explained enough for someone to chime in. I think I’m just having a brain fart. Any thoughts on a more elegant programmatic solution ?
  7. Reach out to @AK1 from Coolabode. Very knowledgeable, based in West Vancouver and great with remote stuff.
  8. I use them in my own home for the kids rooms. To be honest, if only Sony and Samsung IP control was as good as TCL/Roku then life would be easier
  9. The upgrade from 300 to 310 was definitely worth it for me. Everything seems a lot more solid now. If you want gig speeds up and down, be sure to follow the recommendation to utilize the LAN4 port.
  10. Hi - wondering if others here have seen this before. I have quite a few Shelly devices in my own project (mostly flood sensors) that all work well with the Chowmain Shelly agent and drivers. However, I am not able to successfully program off either of my Shelly Motion sensors (one is v1, one is v2). Both are identified properly, and both sense motion as they should. Both work properly within Shelly Cloud. But when I program off them (say, turn on a light) the programming has no effect. It works as it should when I test execute it from Composer, but not when the device senses motion. I've tried messing with various driver settings to no effect. Any ideas ?
  11. Yeelight was locking up for me - unable to control intermittently if you used the color wheel for a bit. Have just updated, so will see if this fixes things.
  12. Bond Bridge plus this driver : https://drivercentral.io/platforms/control4-drivers/blinds-shades/advanced-blind-control/
  13. Anyone know what happened to the battery agent that we saw previewed months ago ? Displayed the battery levels of all your battery devices (shades, remotes etc.) all on one screen. Any update ?
  14. Well - it's already fixed a long standing bug for me on my own project. The Zigbee Health tool is finally working again - I think it broke at 3.2, can't quite remember.
  15. Looks like the LEAP driver for switches etc has just been updated to v6, and that now apparently supports RA3. However, the Processor driver is still on V5 and there is no mention of RA3 in the documentation. Seems like the processor driver must be close to release.
  16. Ah, I see that now thanks. OP should check that the driver file names were not changed at all during download etc. That will cause the icon to revert to the default DVD icon as shown.
  17. Use Jesse Smith's IR driver. It's better than the 'official' one, and has a nice shiny icon. Don't change the name of the file when you download it, as that screws up the icon. I don't have a link to it to hand, but it's free.
  18. Never tried that. Thankfully mine have been good for a while now. Curious about the possibility that it might also be a firmware bug - I just don't like the sound of what it might entail to update the firmware in each shade.
  19. Curious how this would work. Some kind of hub that is connected via the internet to receive a firmware update ? Mine have been rock solid since I reworked the zigbee mesh. Of course, I'll jinx everything just by typing that...
  20. Possible wifi interference ? What sort of 2.4Ghz network activity is there, especially on Channel 1 ? I notice that you are using Zigbee Channel 13.
  21. Battery operated Q Motion shades can be painful like this. Make sure that they are not at the edge of the mesh - maybe add some light switches into the project to bump the zigbee strength up a bit where the shades are.
  22. He's talking about a second room that uses Sonos speakers. It's not exactly a high-end theater room. I'd say spend $50 on Amazon first and see if you are happy with the result.
  23. Take a look at this thread. Someone here has already made a mounting adapter plate for this situation. There may be commercial alternatives by now. https://www.c4forums.com/topic/36097-ds2-flush-mount-template-fabricating-plate-for-chime/
